We are very excited to announce that after months of planning, we will be running our first Rockin' Reptiles Workshop during the Easter Holidays.

Anyone that knows us, will know our mission is to educate and inspire others, encouraging a culture where reptiles are respected & appreciated, and given the highest standards of care.

So we've designed some workshops for those who love reptiles as much as we do. Starting with 'An Introduction to Reptiles'.

Check out the posters for details and get in touch to book your tickets.

(These are small group sessions and all tickets must be pre-booked in advance.)

Having the opportunity to do these workshops is really special. We're super excited & can't wait :)

As a small family business, we rely on our amazing customers and followers to help keep us going. We're lucky to have grown organically through word of mouth and recommendation, so thank you!

After giving careful consideration to all of the entries, we are pleased to say that we have now chosen our winners!!!

We met brother and sister, Jack and Amelia, at an encounter earlier this year, and they are both huge reptile enthusiasts. They're thinking about getting a reptile of their own, and in a video message, they were keen to explain how they've been doing lots of research to identify the right species for them. This included coming up with a little budgeting plan! Impressive for an 11 and 9 year old! It's the sort of responsible behaviour we love to see, especially when it comes to caring for animals.

Congratulations, Jack and Amelia. We can't wait to welcome you for a look behind the scenes at Rockin' Reptiles.

A MASSIVE thank you once again to all of those that entered and as we said in our post earlier this week, it's been amazing to see that there are so many young reptile enthusiasts who want to get hands-on and learn, filling us with confidence that the next generation of reptile keepers are going to do so much for this wonderful hobby of ours.

Ahead of the announcement, it's worth noting that this was the worst idea we've ever had 🤣

We've had so many amazing entries, and picking a winner has been almost impossible. Why did we put ourselves in this position!? 😬

On the flipside, it's been brilliant to see that there are so many young reptile enthusiasts who want to get hands-on and learn. The next generation of reptile keepers really do have an opportunity to take this hobby to the next level and THAT is what it's all about....constantly looking to improve the standards by which we keep these incredible creatures.

Great way to start the year, helping Toby celebrate his 8th birthday.

Toby is an absolute reptile nut and is due to get his first Crested Gecko this weekend. It was so nice to see the family had done their thorough research into various species before choosing a Crestie. They had the perfect setup, all ready and waiting for their new arrival.

As we reach the end of our second calendar year as Rockin' Reptiles, we're reflecting on just what an incredible year 2024 has been for us. Some of our highlights include:

🦎 BRUNO
We built a huge walk-in enclosure for Bruno, our White-throat Monitor. And my god, it's been so worth it. For anyone that watches our 'Humpday Highlights' every Wednesday, you'll know just how special a lizard he is.

🤝 NETWORKING
We're privileged to have built some truly brilliant relationships with some truly brilliant people, both locally and nationally. We're constantly inspired by the work of others and continue to learn so much.

🤩 ANIMAL STAR AWARD NOMINATION
A cheeky little nomination at the end of the year for an ASA. Amazing 🙏

🌐 WEBSITE
We revamped our website, giving it a fresh new look and providing more information about what we do and why we do it.

😊 ENCOUNTERS
And last but by no means least, we've been lucky to meet some great people, both young and old, allowing them to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of reptiles. Seeing the love shown towards these animals is a reminder of why we do this. We've also helped people with getting their first reptile, assisting with setups, care guides, and ongoing support.

We'd like to say a genuine and heartfelt THANK YOU to our customers and followers for all your support this year. We love reading your reviews and comments 🥰

Also, a special thank you to our amazing family, who help us out so much. We quite literally couldn't do this without you! We're very lucky to have you and appreciate all that you do for us.

So what about 2025? Well....we've been planning what that looks like, so watch this space. Lots of exciting things to come.

NEW ARRIVAL: We are delighted to welcome IRENE to the Rockin' Reptiles family. Irene is a Mangrove Snake, native to southeast Asia. This is a species we've kept before and have wanted to keep again for a long time.

A truly stunning, yet rather sassy girl who will take a little work to get her used to being handled.

We've given her a large naturalistic enclosure, providing lots of places to hide, climb, and weave amongst the foliage as she would in the wild.

Huge shoutout to our good friends for helping us source this one. Another great example of the modern-day reptile community connecting to help each other out.

We'll create a reel to tell you more about her in the new year.
