✨ The importance of colour ✨

When curating the perfect wedding colour scheme we start by looking at the colours that the couple are drawn to. It could be their favourite colours, colours that have meaning to them or just colours that make their hearts happy.

We then look at the varying shades of their chosen colours to find options that work together. This then creates the perfect colour scheme individual to them as a couple.

In this design we went with lavender, for its romantic beauty. What colour would you choose and why?

✨ Indoor or Outdoor Ceremony? ✨

Choosing the perfect spot for your “I do’s” can be tricky—especially with unpredictable British weather! Some venues offer both indoor and outdoor options, but planning ahead can feel like a gamble.

Outdoor ceremonies can be absolutely stunning, but keep in mind that the location might need to change at the last minute if the weather turns and threatens to spoil your moment.

For Laura’s big day, she chose an indoor ceremony, so we didn’t need a backup plan. This allowed us to focus on her ‘Plan A’, transforming the space into her dream setting—every detail exactly as she envisioned.

The morning of your wedding you wake up bright and early ready to begin the biggest day of your life.

Your make up artist & hairdresser turn up on time and you can enjoy getting ready knowing your venue is being lovingly set up for you.

Your cake baker, florist and caterers know where to be and when. All of your hopes & wishes have been heard and are being bought to life while you relax.

You can really be in the moment allowing you to take in every second of your wedding day feeling safe and supported.

✨ My biggest achievement of 2024 ✨

In November we welcomed the last addition to our family, a beautiful little girl we have lovingly named Sophia.

We are all so in love with her and I can’t wait to watch her grow & become her own little person.

I am still working away behind the scenes ready for an amazing 2025, broken sleep isn’t holding me back!

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a happy new year. I look forward to seeing what 2025 will bring for us all!

✨ Controversial topic.. ✨

Should you invite children to your wedding and if so, how many children should you invite?

It can quickly grow from a shall wedding to something much larger if you are including children in your wedding and it’s difficult to know where to draw the line. Are all children welcome, just children of the wedding party or just your own?

I’ve heard so many different opinions, what’s yours?

Even the most down the earth, intimate weddings can cost more than you expect. It’s a good idea to set out your budget from day one so the first thing to do is to work out how much you have to spend.

Once you know how much you have to play with, you can begin assigning portions of the budget to all the vital elements, such as the venue, food, cake, entertainment, flowers, invitations and so on…

Your wedding day is the greatest opportunity to include your favourite things & celebrate you as a people.

You can share your favourite flavour of cake, your favourite meal, your favourite music and so many other elements that make you who you are as a person - the person your guests know and love.

Your wedding day will be your favourite day ever so it just makes sense to fill it with your favourite things 🩷

Remember to take time on your wedding day to stop and take in what is happening around you. These are the moments you’ll remember, family reuniting, friends having the best time celebrating with you, the way the flowers look in the sunshine and the words shared at the end of the evening.

Your wedding is a once in a lifetime experience full of special moments, try and soak it all in ❤️

You could even ask your photographer to keep an eye out for certain moments you’d like captured if spotted.

When working on your design plan it can be hard to know what you’d like to include with so many choices to make. What colour will you have? What stationery will you include? What floral arrangements will you include?

If you are finding it tricky to know where to start it may help to take note of things you don’t want rather than things you do. This should help eliminate the overwhelm when looking through inspirational photos and be a great base to build up your personal design plan.

✨ Where to begin ✨

Wedding planning can be rather overwhelming (understatement of the day) which is understandable given the size, pressure and very nature of what it represents, but it doesn't need to be that way.

The good news is by breaking the big day into manageable, bite-sized slices, it will allow you to make wedding preparations at a pace that really suits you.

The lovely Sarah & Alexis ❤️

This couple were a joy to work with! Their laid back approach to wedding planning made for a fun, relaxed wedding day that was enjoyed by everyone who attended!

In the lead up to their wedding I liaised with all of their suppliers to ensure everyone knew their roles and expectations for the day, I created a thorough timeline to make sure everything went to plan and I was lucky enough to be a friendly face & support to them both in the build up to the big day by taking the reins and allowing them to relax & enjoy the experience.

Looking into this for my couples I’ve come across so many different answers and here are some examples of what I’ve discovered..

Dessert cakes
Small cakes
Personalised cakes
All white cakes
Semi naked cakes

What do I think? Have whatever cake you want and stay true to yourselves! Extras like wedding cakes are important ways of incorporating your personality into your day be that with the decoration of the cake or the flavours inside.

Regardless of whatever flavour, colour, design or style cake you have in mind - I’m here for it 🤍

Rachel & Wesley were such a lovely couple!

From our first meeting many months ago I knew their wedding day was going to be beautiful & I was honoured to be the wedding planner they chose to make this happen.

They live in Canada and were coming to England to celebrate with Family & Friends based here.
