This Sunday! Our last day party of the summer and it’s a big one!
Quantic
No doubt, if you’re reading this you already know who Quantic is… a true musical explorer and cultural magpie - over the years and during the course of fifteen albums, he’s immersed himself in soul, funk, Ethiojazz, Cumbia, Salsa and all forms of club music, always arriving at a sound that is uniquely his.
Red Bananna (Barcelona)
Anna Fillat is red bananna, a collector and selector of vinyl music since the age of 15. From early on, she has been in contact with music from all over the world, but her horizons expanded after living in Chile in 2014. Her vinyl sessions highlights rhythms from Latin America, the Caribbean Coast, Middle East and Africa, with a goal to engage communities but above all to generate good energy,
enjoy the music and dance.
DJ Five-Stylez (Bristol)
For the last 20 years Five-Stylez has been a continuous presence in the Bristol scene. Traversing many genres, he is one of the most versatile party rocking turntablists’ this city has to offer. He has some seriously deep crates combining funk, cumbia and other Latin sounds.
La Bomba (John Stapleton & Boom Operator)
La Bomba is a DJ duo dedicated to playing the finest and funkiest vintage dance music from around the world - from Afrobeat to Highlife to Boogaloo to Funk.
John Stapleton
Vinyl Veteran John Stapleton has been DJing for over three decades - from Iceland to Australia, and played regularly at Glastonbury, WOMAD and Shambala amongst others. He has regular monthly radio shows on Noods and Totally Wired Radio, and runs Bristol’s finest vintage record shop – Wanted Records.
Boom Operator
The other half of La Bomba, Bristol’s Cumbia King, avid record collector specialising in vintage tropical rhythms from Latin America and Carribean. Known for spinning obscure Latin dancefloor shakers. Expect Cumbia, Salsa, Guaguanco & Funk, all on original vinyl.
The party starts at 2pm, with all-day music until 10pm on Bristol’s best rooftop terrace.
