We’ve noticed a number of new faces here and so would like to take a moment to say hi and show our faces!!

So, 👋, we’re Roz (left) and Debs (right), a duo of florists come growers or growers come florists, depending on the season!! Currently we’re very much growers as we spending the days on our hands and knees planting 10,000 bulbs.

Our small girl-business is all about creating wild floral designs using the best ingredients available in the season, which we have grown sustainably in north Bristol. None of our designs are ever the same and our customer choose us because they know we create the best magic when led by nature.

When we’re not busy growing and arranging flowers you’ll find us outdoors with our families, equipped with thermoses and waterproofs exploring the wild treasures of the South West and beyond. We’re always on the look out for new places to explore so do comment below if you’ve got some favourites!

I’m also delighted with these photos taken by - up at the crack of dawn in Autumn to get the morning light - neither of us are naturals in front of a camera and we were delighted with what Lally has captured.

We’re looking forward to sharing our journey through 2025 with you.

Snow day on the farm!! I don’t think I can remember the last time I saw snow before Christmas and it pretty much always bypasses Bristol so it really was a surprise to drive through a snow flurry when I was on the way to receive a delivery of peat free compost.

Obviously the snow meant inevitable delays to the delivery so here are a few snaps I took whilst waiting.

❄️ A sneaky nasturtium finding refuge under the last dahlia standing

❄️ Our delightful anthemis - such a popular flower this year, we sold out most weeks

❄️ The Monada candelabras standing proud

❄️ Our last dahlia. We aren’t saving this one for next year

❄️ Geum Totally Tangerine putting some late season stems up

❄️ snowfall

Bless the driver from he did his best to get the 1 tonne palates as close to the farm as he could

Chrysanths having their moment. It’s been a physical day, cutting back the dahlias and putting them to bed. The job is now done. So it was a total joy to treat myself to a bunch of chrysanths to take home. Get in touch if you’d like some for your home. There aren’t many flowers that you can get in November than have been grown with no heat and light, but these are one of them. So if you’d like guilt free flowers, get in touch.

Dreaming of Icelandic poppies in the Spring but struggling to germinate them? We’ve been working on breeding these beauties for the last few years and have been working on a pastel mix. Here’s some of last years, so imagine the bunch minus the orange and coral. Icelandic babies have been potted on this week, already have good root systems and are settling into their plugs.

We’re excited to announce that we are now registered for posting and providing plant passports. These have all been germinated from our own seed (Champagne Bubbles being part of the parentage) so plugs will be a pastel mix including the sought after white poppies.

If you’d like to be added to the wait list and when they’re ready for dispatch and posting we’ll let you know drop us an email at [email protected].

We still have dahlias available so get in touch if you’d like some this week as it’s likely to be our last.

It was a total joy creating Alice’s bridal bouquet. She trusted us to use the best of the season for her wedding flowers. Thank you Alice!

We’re over the moon when our couples take the time to send us their favourite photos and share kind words, it really makes our day.

Last call for Flowers and Tea 2024!

As the weather starts to chill off, we start to get nervous about promising a morning on the farm to pick exactly what you fancy; finish with tea and homemade cakes surrounded by our late season sunflowers. 30 Stems of just what you fancy. We’ll give you a quick tour and then leave you to it… it’s the browsing that takes the time…this is the very best season of the year to see the farm. The dahlias are in full bloom, woodpeckers are swooping across to perch in the walnut tree and mushrooms are popping up everywhere warning us it’s getting damper by the day.

See you there!

This one’s for all the dahlia lovers! We’re just busy ordering next years trial dahlias. The ones we think we’ll love and the oranges we’ll fight over whether they’re more apricot or more salmon. Roz isn’t colour blind, I am so it’s always a lively debate!

If you fancy growing some of your own. Our new fave supplier is . They’re offering an Early Bird discount. Now’s the time!

Oh and our dahlias, right in their stride. Perfect for the last hurrah of summer. Until the first frosts x

This last fortnight our shed has been bursting with buckets and buckets of dahlias. September is their month and they’re standing defiantly before all the growing challenges of this year.

Constant unrelenting pests have meant we lost the lions share of our white and pastel tulips in the Spring. You guessed it, the bright red ones they left alone!

Hungry slugs have taken a lot of our seedlings out, munched some dahlias repeatedly to the base and in spite of re-sowing 4 times. We are still missing some key varieties. We’re hoping for a harsh winter to kill next years slugs… but just not starting this Friday with super low night time temperatures please! 🙏

And we’re back!

For the first time since we started the wild zinnia we’ve had a holiday at the same time! Thank you to and Emily for keeping our babies alive whilst we were away.

The field was overflowing with flowers when I arrived today. A good thing too because we’ve got a very busy week ahead. Nothing like jumping in at the deep end.

So here are the first buckets picked this week.
