A For Alpha is hugely inspired by 90s Underground and the different twists and turns that this infamous decade took. Cutting her teeth in the Garage scene under her previous alias ‘A-Bee’, A For Alpha continues to push this raw and crunchy Garage sound, alongside chunky House and Techno tracks full of swing. Also inspired by the sounds of early Hardcore, Rave and Jungle, you can expect to hear ele

ments of these genres worked into her sets, productions and radio shows. A For Alpha finds ways to blend and rework the older tracks with new productions that follow the same characteristics of chunky, skippy, euphoric and smooth. During her monthly show on Bristol’s SWU FM you can expect to go on a deep trip through Garage, House, Techno, Jungle and Hip Hop, alongside features from some of her favourite artists new and old. She is deeply influenced by infamous underground labels such as Nice N Ripe, Wiggle, Slapfunk, Very Important Plastic, Centrestage and Tripoli, this can be heard throughout her sets and productions.

It’s my fave place ever’s 11th Birthday this weekend and I am SO chuffed to be part of Saturday’s lineup 🥹

is a very special to place me - it’s where I’ve worked many a door shift, a bar shift, met bezzie mates, done my first club residency, done my first all night long, run my parties and just had a LOVEly time 😍

Doing a weekly show on .fm has been one of the best moments of my career so far 🥹 it’s given me proper time and space to find my sound, connect with my records and to connect with you lot too 💕

I’ve done the show weekly for just over a year now and I’ve decided to go back down to my bi-weekly slot - I want to spend this year focusing a bit more on production so I wanted to free up some time 2 create 🎨

On one of the weeks I will play you what I’m playing in clubs, then on the other week I’ll go back to the original format I used to do my shows in - jumping through lots of different genres like house, hip hop, jungle and so on 🚀

The biggest of loves to SWU for the opportunity - so glad I get to be a part of this lovely family! Here’s some moments from this year x

Just dropped my first track of 2025! Went on a bit of a Deep House tip with lots of 90s inspo for this one 🔮

I actually sampled this G.O.D Unlimited track a load to make it - a ruff 1997 speed garage tune that I used to spin loads a few years back - quite a different result with this tune 💪

It’s just dropped via .music a new platform full of exclusive tra###x from very sick artists and it’s aim is to make sure artists get paid properly - thank you for having me on 😇

Wasn’t gonna do one of these but looking back 2024 was a pretty mega year tbf 🥹

It’s been the year of a few firsts, my first EP! My first sold out club residency at ! A first in my music production degree, first time doing a weekly show on .fm and my first leather jacket 🧥

Very grateful for the mad opportunities I had in 2024 in and out of the UK and to be able to meet so many amazing people through loving repetitive beats lol 🤘

There was deffo some lows too ofc but it’s made me realise just how lucky I am to have so many lovely friends and fam to help me through the ride - love u all and very grateful for you 💕

Me and the bro, Joe Ko, went toe for toe, on the radio, for my SWU Xmas Takeover, ho ho ho 🎅

Played some lovely house music etc and also had a bit of a chat about how both of us came up through the Garage scene but are into the wafty house these days 🤷‍♀️

Had some other fantastic sets on the takeover from .collective and - I’ve made a cute playlist of them all in my bio - you know what to do ‼️

Okaaaay had some time to now process my first club residency and all I can say is THANKYOU !! Thank you so much to for giving me such a great opportunity to curate three parties in your legendary venue - it will live with me forever 💕

Doing my first ever all night long and residency was something I was quite nervous about, but for all three parties to sell out and also be filled with THE BEST energy was a bloody dream come true! 💭

Thank you to everyone who came and partied and brought the fun and thank you to and for playing incredible sets!⚡️

It was amazing to share the experience with my lovely friends and also my mum who has influenced so much of the music I listen to and play - hence all the 90s house hehe 😈

Not sure words can really describe how CHUFFED I am to have my own music in my hands 🤯

I started collecting records about 8 years ago and never really imagined that this would happen… At that time I gave producing a bit of a go but to be honest I didn’t have the patience and also my laptop kept crashing everytime I opened Ableton 🫠

To fast forward to now where I’ve made 4 tracks that I’m actually really happy with, on a label that I love and to be getting sent clips and messages from people all over the world playing it is truly MAD 🤩

Thank you so much to everyone who has bought it, played it, streamed it, messaged me about it, honestly can’t tell you how much it means to me 💕

For the last 3 years I studied Electronic Music Production at dBs and I just graduated with a first hehe 🎓

I’m super chuffed with this result because I’ve never everrr studied music before! The whole experience has really helped me to develop and grow as an artist and I’ll be forever grateful for it 💕

It’s been 1 whole year of me doing my weekly show on our beloved .fm ‼️ In this time I’ve also programmed and presented a 12hr Christmas Takeover and covered 3 of the legendary breakfast shows 🍳

I’d like to say a huuuuge thank you to the team for their continued support and having me be a part of this station. Having a show on here has been huge for me and opened my world to lots of possibilities and opportunities! I’ve become very confident in radio and I get to sit and blab and talk about 90s tracks, what’s more to love?! 💕

A big thank you to the guests I’ve had who have contributed to the shows and of course to .fm for keeping SWU on air - SWU forever bbi 🥹
