Anybody who has been to our events knows that we love a soundclash but this time it will be with a twist! As well as DJ's we're looking for soundsystems, crews, labels and events to clash. **ATTENTION DJ'S**
You know here at EURGH we like to #GetWeird and we have got something planned that sounds very weird indeed! - DnB Swinging instead of keys... USBS!
Before the lockdown, we were planning on setting up a competition event for fun in a boiler room-style, intimate setting which would have been a round-robin knockout tournament consisting of 8 competitors. (Lyrical MC rap battle on the night too)
Each competitor will be made to put 20 minutes of music on a USB and place it into a bowl. Then each DJ will pick out a USB from the bowl to then lay down a mix from. The two people will clash against one another.
The winner is based on crowd reaction, sending the winner into the next round. Eventually we will have a final and one winner!
Coronavirus had different ideas though... So this is what we going to do instead...
We are going to try and do this competition with live streams and get dnb fans to choose the winner, the prize being a set at a future event🏆
To get started we will have a qualification round so DJs interested send your existing mixes to the EURGH page and our team will choose our favourite 16 (all mixes will be just numbered to make it fair when it comes to the vote) mixes which will go to a public poll which will take the number down to 8 who will go into the competition. From there the DJs will be asked to put 20-25 minutes worth of tunes onto a RAR file. They will then be asked to choose 1-8 and when they have done that they will be asked to choose a time which is best for you to stream, download the tunes and then with in an hour do a live 20- 25 minute stream. That will again go to a public poll and then the winner goes into the next round and so forth until we have a winner in the final. DETAILS WILL EXPLAINED IN TO APPLICANTS UPON ENTRY 🙂

EURGH!!! presents - The clash of the shires round robin...
DJs, MCs, duos, groups, labels and brands from East Midlands counties Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire (maybe South Yorkshire) will be battling against each other representing their respected counties they either are born in, grew up in or now reside it.
The qualifying rounds to represent your county will be made the way of sending mixed via social media the the decision will be based on the popularity it has generated.
Once the artist are selected they will enter the Knockout staged (round robin) where the winner will advance into the quarter finals, semi finals them on to the regional finals where they have the chance to be crowned king or queen of their respected counties.
"THE MORE GAS THE FURTHER YOU'LL PASS"
Decisions will be based solely of the crowds reaction after the sets when the host will ask to shout EURGH!!! as loud as possible for the artist who you thought won that DJ or MC battle. It will be up to the artists to sell themselves through promo and to try and get as many heads down as possible to support them giving them a greater chance at winning the battles. Round robins will be held twice a year in which the two winners of both finals will battle against eachother for the ultimate crown abit like the super cup where the winners of the champions league and Europa league battle it out. We will also be conducting a battle with the runners up fighting for third place.
These events will be held in Nottingham (TBC) and genres I am looking for are the following - drum and bass genres, dub, dubstep, bassline, garage (bass music basically) This is designed to get as much crowd interaction as possible where the artists let their music do the talking as it all decided by the public vote. Winning and being runner up will be rewarded by prizes and perks i.e cash, drink, residency etc... (TBC)
CROWD INTERACTION
Here at EURGH our main focus is YOU the crowd!
Too many bass events nowadays are too samey but here at EURGH we're trying to add a little more excitement as the crowd will have more of say as the crowd will be the judges of who wins each battle and whoever gets loudest pop will be the winner of that bout!
It will be up to the artists to basically sell themselves through promo as the more support you bring the greater chance of winning you will have of winning or of course you can just and shell down!
We want you to let your hair down and want to encourage you to bring out your weird side by doing costume competitions and also a bass face competition where various treats can be won for the following events 📷
