Ever since the pandemic, as well as the ongoing economic and financial turmoil / crisis that every one is experiencing, we have noticed some dramatic changes in people’s shopping habits.

As a result I have decided to reduce the shop opening hours until further notice.

It doesn’t look very pretty but this was one of our biggest catering order so far- for 300 people !!

We felt very privileged to cater for a company who wanted to celebrate Eid with their 300 employees !!!

BREAKING NEWS !!!!

We are now trading at the lovely To***co Factory Market every Sunday from 10am until 2pm from our own little unit called the Matchbox at the rear of To***co Factory area.

We are very excited and will be trying out different dishes like the Onion pakora chaat which has already proven very popular.

Come along one Sunday to visit Bristol’s oldest running market exclusively filled with local and independent businesses.

A huge thanks to all for their hard work and help in making this happen for us, forever grateful to them. And a huge thank you to one of our customers who came specially to see us last Sunday and took this lovely instant Polaroid type photo of us, thank you for your generosity, forever grateful to you and Zeb.

As we enter our 21st year of trading, I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who has ever visited Tiffins and all the longstanding loyal Tiffins family and friends, without your continuous help and support I wouldn’t be able to continue doing what I love and couldn’t survive as a business.

I feel extremely lucky and I am eternally grateful to everyone who has ever supported us through the bad times and good times.

The Tiffins painting was done by a Tiffins friend Adrian is a Bristol based multitalented artist and musician.

Wish you a very healthy and happy new year.

We are now open as normal Monday to Friday from Midday until 6pm.

And remember we are fully Vegan and Gluten- free, every month of the year not just for January !!

Fancy a Brussel sprouts and sweetcorn curry ?? Another one of our popular curries.

The humble sprouts packed full of incredible gut loving nutrition and fibre .

Why not try something different with your festive sprouts -

- Prepare, wash and Chop them in half
- heat some oil / fat if your choice
- add any seeds - cumin, mustard, nigella etc
- add salt and any spices and / or herbs you may have
- if you like add garlic, and / or ginger/ and /or chilli
- stir everything thoroughly and add just a little water to help cook
- cover and cook till it is soft but still feels a bit firm.

The above is just a suggestion, don’t worry if you don’t have some of the ingredients, as with the Brussel sprouts can take up any flavour / taste , don’t be afraid experiment, use any ingredients you have, you can even add other textures - sweetcorn, beans, nuts etc.

I had a fantastic day at , giving my first ever cooking demo in front of a packed crowd, with rain hammering down, and loud music, it was a great experience I’ll never forget.

I cooked pakoras from bits of bread, leftover potato curry, salad leaves and radishes ,
Another pakora with mashed potato, carrot and salad leaves - both cooked in a pan not deep fried,
A chutney made with salad leaves, cucumber and apple cider vinegar sweetened with sweet potato mash,
My take on a classic Indian dessert - Ras Malai. - I made little round bread disc sandwiches filled with spiced apple covered with spiced milk sweetened with mashed sweet potato.

I had lots of positive feedback , I’m so grateful to everyone who came to watch me 🙏🏼

So very excited to be asked by the lovely people to give a cooking demonstration. Feel very privileged to be part of an amazing team of lovely people like and from the amazing and the lovely Luke Hasell - the founder of Valley Fest and - all of them true legends.

I am giving a cooking demonstration on Saturday- tomorrow- at around 1:30pm , so if you’re there please come to the cooking demonstration tent / place.

I’ll be showing how to store, use and re-use leftovers from the top 5 most wasted foods by us as consumers in the UK and turning them into some tasty Indian dishes.

A lovely present from the lovely people , we are so grateful for their kindness and generosity. They grown and sell peat free and pesticide free array of plants and deliver to you on bikes - very environmentally friendly all around.

It’s a Thai super chilli plant, yummy 😋.
I’m hoping to use them in some of the dishes - if I don’t eat them all !!!

Did you know - chillies and other Capsicum family members are high in antioxidants and vitamin C, some varieties have more vitamin C than a lemon or orange !!! All the more reasons for me and you to eat more of them .
