Soft pinks & Ivorys for Jess & Jon at Priston Mill yesterday. Lots of beautiful flowers throughout the venue. Milk churns, floor meadows, petite vases of summer flowers for the tables a statement floral arch & cake meadow ensured there were beautiful blooms throughout

The outdoor ceremony plan on Saturday for Emily & Chris at Berwick Lodge had to be moved due to the very changeable weather. There was to be a floral runner across the back row of the aisle, designing it in 6 seperate sections meant we could adapt it to work with the indoor setting. Large urns & a petite ceremony table display completed the setup.

Soft shades of blush & lilac romantic & luxurious with a Bridgeton feel! The highlight for me was the cake halo in calaboration with joanna of a stunning cake that was decorated with a copy of the lace from the bridal dress surrounded by a halo of garden style florals .

some beautiful summer weddings coming up meaning the workshop will be full of blooms & I get to flower some of my favourite venues! last week was finalising flower designs with my July couples, I never get bored hearing all the little details & sharing their excitement! this week I have been trying out some new vessels - you may have seen a new foam free meadow trough /floral runner on my stories. cant wait to use them in weddings they look great as aisle decor, on tables - especially long banquet styles, fireplaces, windowsills - everywhere! I regularly add to my props to make sure I can offer different designs & be creative.-

Yesterday I got to create flowers for my daughters engagement party . Set in a beautiful garden the main display was a round arch for a perfect photo backdrop. How lucky were we with the weather! ☀️

A B O U T L O U B E E

Hi I am Louise, lou, weeze, Loubee. Wife, & mum to 3 grown up Children & 2 cocker spaniels that we all adore & they take it in turns to keep me company in my workshop.
I trained as a florist almost 8 years ago, something I had wanted to do for a long time. With my eldest heading off to university & following the loss of my dad to cancer I decided life was too short & I needed to go & find out if it was for me. I think like many florists I was first introduced to flowers by my grandmothers - just pottering & helping around gardens with them, it was a place I felt relaxed & happy.

I work from a workshop at home which means my family have all been involved! My husband is in charge of packing my van Belinda, - it’s incredible what he can fit in there! He helps with mechanics & spreadsheets & often comes with me to do set ups. My daughters have also both worked with me in setting up weddings & even my teenage son earns some pocket money bucket cleaning. I have some great freelancers to hand when I take on larger weddings, having worked for them myself while training.

I take on a small number of weddings a year so that I can provide dedicated customer service & I love having the time to really get to know my couples. You can never give me too much information - I try & include all the little aspects of your day to make sure your flowers are completely bespoke to you both. My aim is always to exceed expectations.

Besides flowers I love anything sweet! Baking & eating cakes, biscuits chocolate - all the things you shouldn’t! I start every day walking my dogs, it’s the best start & whatever the weather I never regret going. I enjoy yoga but regularly slip out of the habit then as soon as I start again feel the benefit!
We love holidays & since our children were tiny have discovered lots of beautiful places & countries with them. My eldest daughter is getting married next year & I cant wait to be on the other side!
I love trying new creatives - last year I tried pottery & discovered I need to stick with flowers!
