I love capturing those little moments that are not done specifically for camera. Like this one of the beautiful bride Alison giving a quick flash of the ring to those in the front row.

I am regularly asked for more information on the lash lifts I offer, so I thought I would do a Q & A on it.

What is a lash lift?
A lash lift, subtly lifts your natural lashes from the base using perming solution and setting lotion. I also tint your lashes at the end of the treatment.

Does it hurt?
It can be slightly uncomfortable at times but we do our very best to make It a comfortable treatment.

How long does it take?
Around an hour, but allow 1 hour and 15 mins

Where does it take place?
I am mobile so would come to you. I can also accommodate you at my home, should you prefer this option.

Do I need a patch test?
Yes you would need to do a patch test at least 48 hours prior to the treatment.

Is there any maintenance?
Apart from giving them a comb through in the first 24 hours there's no maintenance at all.

How can I prepare for the treatment?
Remove all eye make up fully before I arrive and maybe wash your hair that morning as you can't get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the treatment

How soon can I wear mascara?
You need to avoid mascara for at least 24 hours after the treatment as they are still setting in the first 24 hours. You also can't get them wet within this time, so avoid days when you swim or have a spa planned. 😍

Can I wear waterproof mascara?
I don't recommend you apply waterproof mascara directly to the lashes. If you need to wear it, for a wedding for example, then apply a layer of lash primer or traditional mascara first and top with waterproof.

Can I remove my make up in the usual way?
Yes, however ensure your make up remover doesn't contain oil as it can affect how long the lift lasts.

How much is it?
It's £35 if you have it done alone, or £30 each if you have it done at the same time as a family member or friend.
Beauty by Emily Faith brides have a special price of £30. 👰

The lovely Lorna pictured below had a lash lift for her wedding, and I think she will agree she's a bit addicted!!

I think confetti shots are up there with my absolute favourites. There is something thrilling about capturing that very brief moment of pure fun and excitement, yet never being sure of exactly what shots I have from a confetti throw until I get them back home... and finding a gem like this is so rewarding. This is the lovely Louise & Craig at Coombe Lodge at Blagdon. More to come soon.
