The Mushroom season is in full swing! 🍄 Here’s a box filled with some of the finest mushrooms we could get our hands on: foraged Porcini from Italy 🇮🇹 , foraged Girolles from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, Shiitake and King Oyster from the UK 🇬🇧, plus Enoki and Shimeji from France 🇫🇷. I’d love to share about myself and the journey that led to the creation of The Vegan Snob. I’d like to start from the very places where this concept was born and what experiences have most defined me.

Years ago, I worked in various slaughterhouses as Vet Inspector (who ensure health and wellbeing of animals before and during slaughter and more), including one of Europe’s largest facilities, where they processed 2,000 cows per hour. They were incredibly tough experiences. The screams of terrified animals like pigs who immediately sensed their fate, while cows remained silent until the very end, still echo vividly in my mind—every single one of them.

Originally,I wanted to help animals die with dignity and without suffering because I believed there was nothing I could do to save them from their unfortunate fate. But the more time I spent with them in their final moments, the more I felt a deep desire to prevent them from ending up there at all—not to become just another ingredient.
Phones weren’t always in hand back then, and pictures were forbidden during the process. These are some of the few I got at the end of the day in one of the numerous places I’ve been. They still carry my and their emotions. Those experiences deeply impacted me, combined with my drive to provide for my two beautiful boys, and fuel my mission today -to make a difference and create a space built on compassion, love, and community…and great food, of course.

That’s what The Vegan Snob is all about.

I like to believe that I’m shifting suffering into love.

That’s why I’m hosting Supper Club events - to connect with you and share our values and passions.
It’s a chance to come together, enjoy delicious food, and foster a community based on love and compassion.
I want to honour those animals by creating a loving community that seeks to make a difference.

I can’t wait to meet you all and create something meaningful together!

Mushroom Season is here! 🍄‍🟫🍄🍂

The first fresh batch just landed all the way from Italy, and yes, they’re foraged - one of the rare exceptions to our usual organic-only approach. But this time…it’s absolutely worth it!
I can’t wait to share these beauties with you. Perfect for all the cozy dishes we’ve got coming up!
Mmm…let me think…yes! I’m going to start with Porcini Gnocchi! …from tomorrow on the menu!

On Sunday, I had an absolute blast with this incredible man, that I’m lucky enough to call friend, (who you may recognise from ), as he gave me a tutorial on how to make the perfect CULURGIONES - a traditional Sardinian filled pasta! Thank you Sam! 😊 He also looks much better than me in pictures 🤦‍♀️

My childhood favourite: Chocolate Salami.

This isn’t just any dessert - it’s a slice of nostalgia that takes me back to those carefree afternoon as a little girl. Every note of this Italian classic brings back the joy and indulgence of my youth.

I’ve added my personal touch with a bit of Piedmont pride, swapping almonds for rich, buttery Piedmont Hazelnuts DOP. We’ve blended them with Valrhona Dark Chocolate, Dovea Farm digestives, Duchess Farm Rapeseed Oil and Oat milk. Just 5 ingredients to make you start dreaming!

Meet Jerry, our new little friend who’s been hanging around the kitchens in James Street. I first noticed him a couple of weeks ago, skinny and shy, darting around the area. I started leaving some food outside at night, and slowly but surely, he’s been coming out of his shell. Last night, he even had the courage to step up at the door while I was working…and when I noticed him he ran away! It’s amazing what a difference a little love can make. ❤️ I wasn’t sure if he’d be happy with vegan food, so I asked for help from my lovely neighbor , specialising in burgers. Together, we’ve been getting Jerry back in shape.

Even if this dish is on every Italian menu in September, I couldn't wait any longer. I woke up this morning with an uncontrollable craving for Tortelli di Zucca!
This is my absolute favourite dish - butternut squash (because pumpkin is not in season yet 🤦‍♀️), zesty mostarda, and crunchy amaretti biscuits, all topped with a rich butternut squash glaze I made from the squash juice from the cooking process. You have to try this! 😎

Introducing our new hero on the menu: risotto! 🍚✨ No matter the season, you’ll always find a delicious risotto on our menu with a special offer—buy 1, get 2! Every two weeks, we’ll be switching up the flavour to showcase the best seasonal ingredients we can find. Stay tuned!

Right now: organic risotto infused with the smoky sweetness of Sicilian roasted red peppers, finished with a zesty parsley and lemon sauce. Garnished with tender yellow roasted peppers and a sprinkle of our homemade red pepper powder, made rom roasted pepper skins, too good to be wasted.
