I’d love to share about myself and the journey that led to the creation of The Vegan Snob. I’d like to start from the very places where this concept was born and what experiences have most defined me.
Years ago, I worked in various slaughterhouses as Vet Inspector (who ensure health and wellbeing of animals before and during slaughter and more), including one of Europe’s largest facilities, where they processed 2,000 cows per hour. They were incredibly tough experiences. The screams of terrified animals like pigs who immediately sensed their fate, while cows remained silent until the very end, still echo vividly in my mind—every single one of them.
Originally,I wanted to help animals die with dignity and without suffering because I believed there was nothing I could do to save them from their unfortunate fate. But the more time I spent with them in their final moments, the more I felt a deep desire to prevent them from ending up there at all—not to become just another ingredient.
Phones weren’t always in hand back then, and pictures were forbidden during the process. These are some of the few I got at the end of the day in one of the numerous places I’ve been. They still carry my and their emotions. Those experiences deeply impacted me, combined with my drive to provide for my two beautiful boys, and fuel my mission today -to make a difference and create a space built on compassion, love, and community…and great food, of course.
That’s what The Vegan Snob is all about.
I like to believe that I’m shifting suffering into love.
That’s why I’m hosting Supper Club events - to connect with you and share our values and passions.
It’s a chance to come together, enjoy delicious food, and foster a community based on love and compassion.
I want to honour those animals by creating a loving community that seeks to make a difference.
I can’t wait to meet you all and create something meaningful together!
