Handmade Christmas Wreaths
There’s no better festive welcome for your home than a fresh door wreath
I like my Christmas wreath to be natural, to celebrate the unique beauty of winter and of course to have a touch of wild
Here’s my top tips and step by step guide for creating a beautiful natural wreath.
🌿create a moss base on a wreath frame
🌿Make little bundles of foliage and berries - long, medium and do short. You’ll need 7 to 8 of each size. Put a nice interesting mix of textures in each bundle.
🌿Bind the bundles to the moss base using wire or twine. Place. The long bundles on the. Outside edge, medium on top and small on the inside edge. Top Tip: angle the bundles down at the edges. The helps cover the moss and also creates a lovely rounded shape helping your wreath look abundant and dm gorgeous.
🌿Attach decoration such as pine cones using stub wire. Pu sh straight through the moss and bend back on the other side to secure.
🌿Finish with a bow that compliments the colours in your wreath
Taking the time to pre-make the bundles means your wreath will come together really quickly, have a beautiful shape and a lovely balance of textures and colours
