Subsonic Weekender, formerly known as Gearfest, started as a weekend long party with a few mates in a field in 2012 set up by the three Gear Brothers. Since then, almost entirely through word of mouth, the event has grown to a 500 capacity festival with a reputation for being one the most friendly and amazing little festivals in the country. The underwater themed festival is held at a beautiful location in Usk, South Wales with woods, big barns and residents that love to come and dance with us into the early hours! Subsonic covers a huge range of genres over 3 days including Funk, Soul, Reggae, Ska, Folk, Balkan, House, Techno, Disco, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Beat Box, Glitch-Hop, Hip-Hop, Electro Swing, Psy Breaks, Jungle and Psy Trance. On top of the music you'll find live performers and dancers, musical battles and poetry slams, amazing 3D and mind blowing 4D interactive décor, multiple stalls and workshops, delicious food vendors and so much more.
