I am no longer doing hanging baskets… for those of you that want to make you own I would follow this ….
For a 14” basket…
I would put a standard geranium in the middle next to it put nepeta( greenery) that will then trail all directions if you tease it as it grows and say 2 petunias and a couple of busy lizzys around the outside of geranium and nepeta; 3 trailing lobelia evenly around the outside then put inbetween the lobelias put 1 surfinia, (trailing )1 trailing begonia and a trailing fuchsia. You must put Miracle grow pellets in the compost, it is important that you use a good quality compost….when plants are really established, about 4 weeks later then start to feed liquid miracle grow every 2 weeks.
