Meta, the owner of social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, is to use customer data to train its AI models.

The social media giant has informed users in Europe that it will update its privacy policy from 26 June to use customer information to train its AI systems.

As part of an update to its privacy policy, it says it will use customer information to ‘provide and curate artificial intelligence technology’ in its products.

This information includes anything you post (including photos and captions) and what others post about you. It doesn't include private messages you send on Facebook or Instagram.

How to stop Facebook using your data to train AI

On desktop:
1. Click your profile picture
2. Select ‘Settings & privacy’ then ‘Privacy Centre’.
3. Scroll down, click ‘Privacy policy’ and then select: ‘What is the Privacy Policy, and what does it cover?’
4. At the top of the page is a message about the update to Meta's privacy policy and a link labelled ‘right to object’. Click this.
5. Fill out the form to object to your data being used.

On Android: Do step 1. Scroll down and click ‘Help and Support’. Then select 'Terms & Policies'. Select 'Privacy policy'. Then do steps 4 and 5.

On Apple: Do step 1. Select 'Settings and privacy' then 'Settings'. Scroll down to ‘Privacy policy’. Then do steps 4 and 5.

Many chart styles can be accompanied by a printed report. The report can be a personality profile, compatibility report (for 2 people) or 6 months future trends report.

I am a Steampunk so a lot of my artwork reflects this although I now offer a whole cornucopia of styles - with more to come no doubt!

If you would prefer a smaller gift I also make bespoke cabochon jewellery. If you don’t see anything you like I can use one of your own images.
