What a weekend we’re having here at Junction 2 Festival in London supplying all 4 major stage arenas across the iconic and what a place to launch our new premium black layher scaffold range and it looks so good!

We love a challenge! We have built this huge Layher camera platform on the roof between the pillars of Birmingham Town Hall for BBC news to broadcast multiple live video feeds of the commonwealth games around the world. 10 broadcast bays were needed at a height of 8m cantilevered off the side of the historic listed building with a safe access at the rear for camera crews, presenters and guests to access. This is a great step for our growth in the TV and Film sector and welcome any future enquires for this sort of bespoke structure.
Tamworth Castle has been chosen as the Commonwealth Games Festival Site and its great to be a part of it. We are in full swing erecting our Prolyte main stage with truck loading docks and rear cowsheds alongside these smart Layher cantilevers to form PA/Sidefill hangs and LED screen chairs.

Our very own bespoke Layher double deck roof system is perfect for cladding with whatever design you can muster up including Ya Mums House! This Layher skeleton with roof cover, staircase and balcony was built for a long standing client to clad with their own design to become one of the many stages we supply at the largest sports/music festival in the country! Our Green Main Stage is suitably blending into the countryside at Worcester Racecourse for the next few weeks just a short trip from our main yard. We love the local jobs!
Blue skies this morning with todays first of many truck loads of Layher Event and Litedeck Staging leaving the yard onward bound to festival sites across the country.
A great night seeing everyone at the TPI awards! Congrats to Tait for beating us to the post but being shortlisted alongside some serious competition is a a positive step in the right direction! Look forward to having another go next year!

Keeping on top of equipment inspections for safety compliance and quality assurance is a never ending task! All rental equipment is scanned and checked after every use. If defects are found equipment is quarantined for repair or if really poorly sent off to the aluminium scrapyard heaven to be reborn. 📝🗒✅
Happy to announce Scooby passed his in house Counterbalance Forklift Training course today by the skin on his teeth. A couple minors noted including a flattened dog bowl, spilt pallet of dog biscuits and slobber on the equipment but he has noted all the above and will be moving forward with positivity in his new role as DOG ‘Distraction Office Guru’.

WE ARE HIRING! - Senior Project Manager (structures and stages)
SALARY: 60-70k Per Annum
OVERVIEW:
As a pivotal position within the company, you will be responsible for heading teams to deliver temporary event structure builds at major events and festivals across the country.
LOCATION: Working from offices at Broadway, Worcestershire and delivering remotely on sites across the UK.
CONTRACT LENGTH: Full Time, Permanent
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Follow up leads generated by the team
- Act as single point of contact with clients managing clients expectations through quotation, delivery and follow-up stages building strong working relationships.
- Develop, build and maintain effective project planning to budget with realistic deadlines and timescales.
- Build site plans and detailed structure build drawings through CAD to be forwarded to Structural Engineers to produce Calculations and Wind Management Plans and used as working drawings on site.
- Book crews and scaffolders for work on site and yard operations
- Manage project Health and Safety
- Manage 3rd party suppliers and subcontractors
- Keep accurate and precise records of communication
- Become familiar with our cloud based quote, hire and job system (Current RMS).
- Be confident in selling our products and services, comfortable with handling objection and dealing with questions and queries
- Ensure the correct stock is available to delivery on site
- Be responsible for on site sign off, handover and hand back to client.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge and experience with Event System Scaffold is essential, preferably Layher but similar event system scaffold
- Knowledge in building temporary stages and structures and Events is essential
- Previous experience in a Events Project Manager role at events is essential
- A high level of communication both verbally and written
- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Strong negotiating skills
- Customer orientated, methodical and excellent organisational skills
- Hands on approach, hardworking and a self-motivated attitude
- Ability to lead Site Foremen and Teams of Crew and Scaffolders
- Experienced AutoCAD user would be of benefit.
- A Health and Safety mindset
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- To undertake necessary travelling and time away from the office, for meetings, events and any other requirements. Reasonable expenses for travel and subsistence provided
- Your role involves a considerable amount of out of hours working, and is not fixed to a 9-5 pattern. you must be flexible with working patterns, hours and locations
- A full clean drivers license is essential as part of this role, it is your responsibility to ensure your insurance provides ‘Business use’ in order to claim mileage
