One day I woke up and thought… I’m going to open my own florist shop, 20 years later, I’m still here!
I trained as a florist straight from school.
After college my first ‘proper’ job was in a wedding dress shop, I absolutely loved it!
I went on to work in a bank, followed by an insurance company, always yearning to get back to the flowers.
I saw that a local florist was advertising for staff, so I bit the bullet and went for the job. It was wonderful being back on the tools, I felt very much at home again.
Then, I got brave, and with the help of my good friend Lucy, I started looking for a property to rent.
just advertised my shop, so off I went to have a look. I wasn’t sure how the heck I was going to pull it off, but I signed on the dotted line, took a leap of faith, and The Broadway Florist was born.
My mum has been a huge part of the journey, and I wouldn’t be where I am without her.
She went to college to train as a florist, so that she could help out.
Since having my little girl who is now 7, mum spends more time on school pick ups than flowers, although she and my husband are both called to arms when all hell breaks loose in the shop!
Over the years I have been so lucky to have employed some fantastic florists, and we couldn’t do what we do without any of them.
We work very closely together, and I consider them as friends as well as colleagues.
Frankie has been with us for 15 years, goodness knows how she’s put up with me for that long!
I honestly hope TEAM Frankie, Abi, Michelle and Helen will stay with us for the next 20 years!!
What a wonderful journey it’s been so far, and what great friends I have met along the way.
There is not a day that goes by that I don’t love what I do, and appreciate where I am.
The day I opened The Broadway Florist, I was absolutely petrified.
I had a shop full of flowers and not a single customer 😂
I worked damn hard to create the brand and reputation that we have today, and I couldn’t be more grateful to all our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the journey.

❤️ We florists love what we do, and feel very blessed to call it a job.

👵🏻I have been a florist for 25 years, and opened the doors to our wonderful little shop 20 years ago.
Not a moment goes by that I don’t love my job, and all that comes with it.

🙏🏻Flowers are my passion, and I am forever grateful to be surrounded by them.

We don’t often post our thanks you’s, but this one was too lovely not to mention!! 🙏🏻

We had a wedding back in 2019.
The bride recently attended a floristry course in London, and has sent us a beautiful thank you card showing her appreciation for all the thought and hard work we put into her wedding flowers.

The bride and groom were one of the loveliest couples to work, and we are truly grateful to have been a part of their special day. 🫶🏻
