A few recent Christmas wreaths, no two are the same, I don't think I could create the same wreath twice if I tried! Which is your favourite?

This was such a lovely (but slightly tricky) wreath to create. The wreath was to frame the colourful stain glass window, but not cover it. If you've seen previous wreaths you'll know they can be very full and not have much space in the centre, so keeping the wreath smaller and a space in the centre was a challenge for me!
But when I popped it on the door, I thought it looked lovely! The oranges and limes in the wreath complimented the window so well, along with the red bow. I'm just hoping it survived storm Darragh!
Watch this space for the garland over the fireplace that matches the wreath.

Sorry it's the C word again! (OMG no not the one that David Coote used about LFC and Jurgen) . . . yes Christmas.

Something that lasts longer than a bottle of wine and won't increase the waist-line like chocolates (as great as they both are)!

We have some lovely low maintenance succulents and cacti - great for an office secret Santa, for when you get the person you don't know that well, or even a teachers Christmas gift.

We have a limited amount of these super succulents, send a DM or email [email protected] to reserve one, or pop in to to pick one up.

I know I've said this before but did you know flowers have been scientifically proven by Harvard University to improve mental wellbeing and positivity. This is thought to go back to when everyone grew their own food and the sight of flowers growing and blooming in spring meant times were going to get better with the start of the local growing season.

During these darker days it's great to create arrangements for the receptions of local businesses where the first thing the people who work there and customers see is lovely colourful flowers.

We love a challenge - the brief from one client was they wanted the arrangement to last a month, to do this we included flowers that will naturally dry over time while keeping their colours. For other customers we refresh their flowers each week allowing us to use local seasonal blooms, which would you choose?

It's always special to be asked to create funeral flowers for someone, it's one of the last things that person will have made for them.

The request for this arrangement was for a sheaf of locally grown blooms in purple and white, so lovely to be able to create something that's travelled no air miles and is completely natural.

Dried flowers are really popular, drying techniques have developed over time and allow the blooms to keep their colours better, in the right location they can last for months.

This gorgeous arrangement was commissioned by someone in the village.

A couple of weeks ago we ran two dried flower wreath workshops a private class for a hen party staying in the lovely village of Lower Slaughter and the other an open workshop that two friends came to. All of their wreaths looked amazing 😍

Bloomery is 5 years old today!

A huge thank you to all of our customers, brides and places we supply, a massive thank you to our suppliers especially our local flower growers, who produce the most amazing flowers! Not forgetting the fantastic friends and family who've helped along the way - Bloomery wouldn't be possible without them! And the other local business owners we've met and worked with.

They say hindsight is a wonderful thing and it couldn't be more true for starting a business towards the end of 2019! But we're still here, just off the high street in Broadway, we love being part of the village and it's fantastic independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

What a lovely colour scheme for a party on the Feasting Deck at The Fish Hotel the soft pinks and purples complimented the gold, cream and sage green balloons from The Balloon Event Company perfectly. These pretty jam jar posies were delivered to The Feasting Deck at The Fish Hotel for a party on Saturday (more photos to come). The brief was for pretty soft pastel flowers along with stylish dinner candles to add some height variation to the table. Jam jar posies are a great way to add relaxed colour to a dining table and the brillaint thing is that guests can take them home with them at the end of the dinner. Sophie and Tom were such a lovely couple to work with, they trusted my creativity with their beautiful colour palette of soft pinks and delicate lilacs with a hint of white. Unfortunately the weather meant there were fewer Dahlias than we'd hoped, but my local growers managed to find some beautiful blooms for the bouquets and button holes. We had a week to recharge in Dylan's favourite place last week, as you can see he loves it there! We managed to dodge the rain for most of the time and enjoyed some great walks.
