We're hiring!

Education Officer.

We have an exciting newly created position (March to September) to work with New Forest Agricultural Show Society and Camping New Forest to deliver a wide range of activities based both at New Park Showground and within the larger campsites within the Camping New Forest portfolio. You will get the opportunity to shape the offering you will then deliver with a focus on raising awareness of the unique environment of the Forest and the wildlife within the National Park. This will be done through engagement with schools, delivery at campsites of informative and interactive events as well as through the three day Show event.

Good salary and a free electric pitch (you will need to provide caravan or motorhome) can also be provided at one of sites if required.

🌳 A new generation of Rangers! 🌳

Our Little New Park Rangers courses over the Easter holidays have been a terrific success! 🥳

Although we got a bit soggy at times! 🙃

🌿Over the past two weeks, we’ve had fun, learnt a lot, and been inspired by nature. But the most impressive part of it all has been the insatiable hunger for knowledge and eagerness to make a difference we’ve seen in the young people who came along.🌿

But now that the Easter break is over, don’t worry, Little New Park Rangers will be back for May half-term!

😄Wow! Our first week of Little New Park Rangers Courses was a terrific success!🥳

Now we can’t wait to get week 2 underway! Once again, we’ve got three days of action-packed woodland adventuring prepared, to educate and inspire young minds and leave them with long-lasting memories.

🌳There’s no better way to learn about our incredible natural environment than doing so in the great outdoors. Here at New Park Farm we have a gorgeous ancient woodland which provides an ideal playground to learn and have fun at the same time.🌳

Featuring Spring and Easter themed activities our courses are taking place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings of the holiday weeks.

LITTLE NEW PARK RANGERS FAMILY DROP IN EVENT POSTPONED

Very sadly we have had to postpone Saturday’s Little New Park Rangers Family Drop in Day. 😢

This is due to the poor weather which has caused wet, muddy ground conditions resulting in issues for car parking and visitor safety in the woods.

We are all so disappointed!

Details regarding the new date of this fantastic event are to follow, so keep an eye on this page or check our website for further details.

In the meantime, we still have plenty of availability for our ticketed Little New Park Ranger courses running throughout the Easter holidays.

For we have been reflecting on the many benefits that connecting with nature has on mental wellbeing. Extensive research shows that regular nature connection has educational, personal and social benefits to young people.

Thank you to everyone who came to our fantastic tree planting event on Saturday. We had such a brilliant time and hope you did too!

A total of 65 English Oak trees were planted. Don’t they look amazing in today’s beautiful winter sunshine?

We look forward to watching them grow and are proud to be creating a living legacy for future generations of New Park visitors to enjoy.

We are hugely grateful to our event partners New Forest National Park Authority and Hampshire Forest Partnership who helped make it all possible.
