Just sharing a little love for our woven place mats…and our view on a place setting.
When it comes to place settings, we appreciate a Pinteretastic, full design with multiple layers of plates, linen, stationary etc as much as the next guy however, we’re also ‘practicalists’ (is that even a word? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏼♀️).
Basically our view is… once guests have sat at their seat and pulled apart the beautiful place setting all of the money, impact and effort is destroyed with seconds plus your table (and floor) is invariably strewn with technically what has now become litter.
However, a beautiful canopy of flowers and foliage for your guests to sit under for example, or a stunning moongate backdrop for your ceremony that will be captured in ‘that’ special moment forever and can then be used as a photo station backdrop is more value and has greater impact.
This may not be a popular opinion but we feel that this isn’t often discussed and feel that the budget, especially if you have one, which most of you do, should be spent on creating impact, entertaining your guests or keeping them fed and watered 🍷👌🏻.
This design shows you how you can still create a pretty place setting but it has what’s required
✅ A napkin
✅ A place card
✅ Cutlery
✅ Glassware
It goes without saying that we can obviously create any design and look if the budget allows but this post is meant to give permission to those who don’t, to not compare to higher budget weddings, to show you can still have a pretty place setting without having to spend loads of 💷.
Hope this helps anyone stressing about having to have the ‘perfect’ place setting because you don’t have the budget to create it…it’s ok…your wedding will still be an amazing day for everyone!
