Creative floristry is all about design. To me the foliage is equally important as the flowers. And, this stunning wreath demonstrates that perfectly.

Floristry shouldn’t be about overloading as many flowers as you can in to a design. It’s about having a design in your head and bringing it to life. Each flower needs to be seen and appreciated in it’s own right. With it’s beautiful mix of leather leaf, pistash and ivy trailing, almost like it’s dancing it’s way in between the roses, it develops this wreath into a peice of art! Avalanche roses are clustered and spray roses scattered to design this beautiful 18inch wreath that was delivered to a crematorium this morning. I enjoyed making this one!

😍Fresh, New Look😍

What a difference a few months makes! The changes in the photos are clear to see and thanks to our wonderful neighbours at The Modern Electric Tattoo Co., Carron has painted the brickwork of our florist black to match the adjoining shops…and didn’t she do a fantastic job! I love it🤩

The shop front looks clean and fresh now. When we moved in it was a job on my list to paint the brickwork under the window but the time of year made it impossible due to the cold, wet weather and the shop has been so busy since moving in it’s just never got done! Well, it has now 🥰

Thank you so much Carron, for doing this on Friday night after we had closed for the day. You’ve made the shop look amazing and saved me a massive job! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

💞Wedding Anniversary Event Flowers💞

Today, we had the privilege of creating and delivering these beautiful 25th Wedding Anniversary Event Flowers at Highbury Hall in Birmingham. The colour theme for these flowers were dark pink and purple and I’m sure you’ll agree, they look superb!

🥳Happy Fri-Yay!!!🥳

It’s Friday everybody which means the weekend starts right here!!! Yay!!!!

We’ve changed our opening times for a Saturday to 9am-2pm as when we’ve been in early the last few Saturdays creating wedding work, people have been knocking on the door from 9am to come in, so we’ve decided to change our opening times to accommodate people wanting flowers earlier🌸

This beautiful basket was created in-store by Louise for a funeral tribute which was delivered direct to the crematorium first thing this morning.

Not only do we deliver direct to funeral directors and residential addresses but should you need us to, we also deliver tributes directly to the local crematoriums so your tribute is ready there two hours before the service takes place.

This takes the pressure of you collecting or if you’re not sure where is best for the tribute to be delivered to. This also helps if you’re not able to attend the funeral yourself but wish to send a tribute.

It’s taken nearly two years to get the shop to where it is today. It’s not been easy, I’m not going to lie…there’s been times I’ve pulled my hair out and wanted to throw in the towel…But, it’s all been worth it!

The shop’s now at the point where I can start to take a little step back. So, moving forward, you may not see me in there quite as much! Sarah, my wonderful, Assistant Manager will always be there in my absence during the week, supported by my fabulous florist team, Louise and Gemma. We look forward to welcoming our new recruit, Sharon who will be helping with deliveries from this weekend! 🌹🌾Fresh & Dry Aqua Box🌾🌹

This stunning, aqua box arrangement was a stem specific request for a lovely gentleman who was getting married and wanted to give his wife-to-be a unique bouquet the day before their big day! Going completely against a ‘traditional fresh flower bouquet’ independently he selected a mix from off our stand of dry and fresh with a heavy mix of foliage as they were not having a traditional wedding so wanted the same for this aqua box!

😍Another Weekend…Another Wedding😍

Congratulations to Helen & Steve who have tied the knot today! I’m just in love with these beautiful roses 🥰 originally Helen wanted peonies for her wedding, but due to the peony season ending early this year due to the wet weather we substituted the peonies for these stunning ‘Marble Arch’ and ‘Kahala’ roses. Teamed perfectly with olive 🫒 foliage! Aren’t they just spectacular 🤩

We are literally doing a wedding a week at the moment! Here at R&W, no matter how big or small your wedding is we will only create one wedding per weekend to give our full dedication to each bridal party!

We are a busy, floristry business based in Bromsgrove looking to recruit a qualified florist with at least 1 year experience in a florist shop to work alongside our existing, professional team of four florists and a driver! The successful candidate will need to work every Monday 9am - 3pm, Friday 9am - 4.30pm and alternate Saturdays 9.30am - 2.30pm. Averaging 16 hours per week in total.

Skills required are:-
🌸Funeral work
🌸Wedding work and venue dressing
🌸Creating everyday, floral giftware
🌸Able to run the shop independently if needed.
🌸Excellent communication skills
🌸Computer skills

Hours will be on a Saturday morning from 10am to cover any delivers required for that day. Cut off for same day delivery on a Saturday is 11am, so when the deliveries are done you can head off home and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Normally on a Saturday we have approximately 6 deliveries which takes no longer than 2 hours routinely to deliver.

💐Sentimental Bouquet💐

This week we had the honour of creating this beautiful, hand-tied bridal style bouquet.

The bride and groom where getting married in Cyprus but the bride’s grandmother had sadly passed away. The bride wanted a bouquet to match the same as hers be delivered to her grandfather’s house on the morning of her wedding so he could take it to the grave and place the bouquet to be with her grandmother whilst the ceremony in Cyprus was taking place. How beautiful 🫶🏻

I thought this was an lovely idea and so thoughtful of the bride who clearly thought the world of her grandmother🥰

♻️Biodegradable Funeral Tribute♻️

This beautiful, biodegradable, funeral sheaf which was ordered to replace a traditional double ended coffin spray was 3 foot long in total and was simply stunning! Using only the best grade, 1 metre long electric blue Delphiniums and the most amazing Porta Nova, Naomi Roses this sheaf was configured using the correct technique to allow the bouquet to sit flawlessly and the stems to spiral faultlessly. A true sign of a professional florists work.

The Funeral Directors informed me that the family were ‘over the moon’ with this tribute, which means everything to us. Thank you!

Something a little different that I have never created before. A lovely lady came to us with pictures of a beautiful Christening Candle encased by a floral arrangement. I‘ve got to say, I was really pleased with how this turned out and the customer was over the moon 🌝 Perfectly presented, as always 🫶🏻
