🎬 LAA studio has been used to create footage for x2 music videos for Joe’s band this afternoon.
Joe founded JRUM, a drum studio with a difference, here in the grounds of LAA.
The music video is using some of Lorna’s & LAA’s students’ paintings & sculptures, experimenting with creative space, leading to unique stills, short reels & shots, ready to edit into the final piece.
Cultivating new ideas, nurturing creativity & encouraging experimentation.

Recorded & performed by a complete beginner student who began drum sessions in May.
Recording yourself playing to music is the best way to showcase your skills and measure your progress. It’s even better if you’re playing to music where YOU are the only drummer. By using industry standard equipment and software, students can create unique tracks such as this from scratch to take home and show to friends and family, as well as keep a record of how well they’re improving.

Introducing 🎵🎶 J R U M 🎶🎵
Unique drum sessions for children & adults.
JRUM provides the space, equipment & expertise to allow anyone the freedom to express themselves behind a drum kit.
Factual, friendly & fun learning in a fully soundproofed, welcoming drum studio, located at Lorna’s Art Academy, B61 0QY.
Guided by Joe, you’ll learn the foundations of drumming, basic rudiments, techniques and beats. You will apply the foundations to your favourite song & play along straight away. Always supported by Joe, your confidence, skills & musicality will build & develop as Joe plays along with you.
More experienced drummers are welcome to further develop their skills & broaden their musical knowledge through learning more advanced techniques, music theory & even the basics of recording & production.
J R U M also provides the chance for their musicians to use industry standard equipment & software to record their drumming & create their own tracks, samples & covers of their favourite songs to take home.
