Wow wreaths! We have been blown away this year by the incredible wreaths created in the SL barn! All natural, all British & all made from locally sourced materials and of course made with love ( and a cocktail!) by you!! 🫶🏻

Reflect on the early part of your year and set intentions for the months ahead. Winter invites us to slow down, recharge, and focus on self-care. Our flower farm offers a serene backdrop, resting and preparing for spring.

Join us on Thursday 23rd January from 6.30pm or Saturday 8th February for an extra special well-being walk and brunch session with the very lovely Alison from Green Space Therapy and Counselling, during both sessions we will be working with British dried flowers, and creating beautiful frame designs

Today we had an afternoon of creating in our beautiful new barn which was such a treat! 🙏🏻 we made a huge mess and lots of beautiful wreaths, Forever thankful for every order and everyone’s continued support

We hosted our first wreath workshop of the season today and it was fabulous! What a lovely bunch of colleagues and just look at the size of those wreaths!! 😳🫶🏻

Dear October (our favourite month!!) you were one to remember! kicking off with the gorgeous wedding event Hothorpe, to watching some incredible sunsets at the flower farm whilst working late, to setting up another beautiful wedding Foxtail Barns Wedding Venue & Woodland Lodges and then finally creating a large autumnal wreath for Good luck Sasha at all your trade shows this month!
It really was a month of magic here at SL ✨

Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween! We've just returned from a week off and are now gearing up for a day at the flower patch, digging up dahlias!! It's going to be a very messy, muddy day! To celebrate, we've set up a not-so-scary Halloween display with some of our stunning dahlias that are still going strong in Saffron’s garden, sometimes it’s so nice to just create with no agenda, just for the love of it. Enjoy all the tricks and treats today

THE FLOWER FARM//

Last week was a story of two half’s on the farm, the weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side at the beginning of the week, so we decided to divide and conquer our job list! 🙌🏻 With Saffron focusing on the flower patch, whilst I spent some time updating our website with some incredible 2024 images, added our January workshops, ordered our new gift vouchers and worked on our marketing plan for our very own Sutton lodge candle range… watch this space!!! The perfect Christmas gift ideas incoming!

Saffron spent a lot of time sheltering from the rain in our green house focussing on hardy annuals that will germinate ahead of Christmas so they are strong enough to plant March / April or when ground allows us to! Sowing 49 sweet peas our favourite! and a mixture of snapdragons and poppies.
Potted up and nursed some poorly looking chrysanthemums and cyclamens who didn’t like it in the Amazon pop up due to a lack of air circulation!

Saffron then went on to catch a toad and re homed him! ( I’m glad it was saffron and not me 🤣🫣) filled in the mouse holes 😱! with a note to self to keep the sweet peas seeds to in the utility room until they germinate as the mice love them for their breakfast!!

We both then had a good old fashioned clear out and clean down, ahead of a very exciting wedding week 😊 which was re energising! Then with the support from we started work taking down the annuals and cutting back some of the weaker looking perennials with a view to mulching over the next few weeks ….

Always sooo much to do and so little time! But we love our little flower patch and can’t wait to share more of what we’ve been up to over the coming weeks
