We are in Barcelona with Event Management and Travel and Tourism students!
As well as touring the Nou Camp stadium and various local sights the highlight was attending the world famous Sitges Carnival! (If you’re not familiar google it)!
A great opportunity to celebrate equality and diversity, particularly in #lgbtweek

This Tuesday we took level 2 and level 3 event management students on the first of many trips this year meeting employers and learning about industry standards.
As part of their hospitality and food and beverage units they visited Harris and Hoole and Starbucks at the Brookfield centre.
The managers explained everything about the business, the team, skills and expectations, customer focus, their product and competition.
Students then got the chance to have a go at creating some latte art..... harder than it looks!

Induction week - new Event Management students were stretched and challenged to step out of their comfort zone and try an activity that was new to them.
Within just 30 minutes our learners went from zero to hero as they learnt to play a Rhythm and Blues solo!
Thank you to Jamie, Curriculum Area Manager for music, for giving up his time to teach the learners.
Challenge yourself!
