A Christmas message from our MD:
Whilst this year has been another commercially successful year at Blue Parrot with our move to our new premises and opening our new studio space, East Mains Studio, it has been a very tough year for many of the team, myself included.
As we approach Christmas, I want to take a moment not only to extend warm holiday wishes but also to recognise those for whom this season may not be so jubilant. I know I will be putting on my bravest of faces over the next week to try and make sure my children have a wonderful and magical time, and I know their joy will undoubtedly bring me genuine happiness too - but it will be difficult.
I extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has steadfastly supported us through some of our most challenging times this year. Even the smallest acts of kindness can have profound and positive impacts, and they are deeply appreciated. Collaborating with both long-standing and new clients has brought immense joy, creating unforgettable memories not just for our clients and audiences, but for ourselves as well.
Pictured below is the illuminated star we install atop SSt Michael's Parish Churchevery year - the annual installation at the start of December is a much loved and looked forward to highlight in our schedule. This year has also been a difficult year for the church which has made this particular installation all the more special.
In the spirit of community and support, I'm organising a couple of casual drop-in sessions at our Broxburn location for anyone who finds themselves struggling this Christmas season. The sessions will take place on the 27th and 30th of December, from 2 to 4 pm. This will offer an opportunity for friendly conversation in a welcoming environment, complemented by plenty of tea, coffee, cake, and biscuits. Entry will be via the accessible entrance at the far end of the car park. I know only too well what it is like to be surrounded by people and yet feel so very alone, and I believe no-one should be left feeling alone at Christmas.
Lots of love,
Rebecca ###
