Set in the rolling countryside of North Buckinghamshire we offer a tranquil and picturesque location where you can create the wedding of your dreams. We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies with a choice of locations in the main barn or in the quiet country gardens. The barn is a bright spacious venue with twinkling fairy lights together with specialist lighting and sound system, and with its vaulted

ceiling and heavily wooded features it effortlessly retains its links with the hay barn that stood here 100 years ago. The well stocked bar on the ground floor with its extensive range of Gins is complimented on the gallery by a Cocktail Bar adjacent to a relaxing ‘snug’ area - a separate comfortable lounge with mood lighting where guests can relax and chat. Adjacent to the barn is a large silk lined marquee with chandeliers and festoon lighting which provides an additional space for drinks, evening food or entertainment. Whist free to choose all your own suppliers we have a range of recommended caterers, photographers, florists and more who will be pleased to help make your wedding day perfect. Our associated company The Complete Wedding Package have all the extras you may need including Photo Booth, LED Dance Floor, Candy Cart etc

Harvest Moon Barn is a large two bedroom barn sleeping four and Ember Eve Barn next door has an antique draped Four Poster Bed, large Victorian Slipper Bath and private balcony overlooking the fields - perfect for the bride and groom.

“What a venue! We had our wedding last week and we can’t explain how amazing it was. From start to finish the team were incredible, as soon as we viewed it, we knew it was the perfect place for us!
It is so beautiful - you really don’t need to go over the top with decoration , however the team were happy to accommodate all the ideas we had.
A special thanks to Gail who talked us through the whole day and kept us both very calm and obviously the the whole team who ensured the day ran smoothly. It really was a perfect day and every one of our guests commented on what a stunning venue it was.
It has everything-from being able to get married and then party all at one venue, Cocktail bar, quiet areas, great photo opportunities and accommodation for the Bride and Groom after.
Your wedding day should be a day you never forget and thanks to Winters Tale we had the most perfect day and for that we will be forever grateful! “

A WINTERS TALE...

Winters Tale Country Barn is a bright spacious beautiful Barn set in a peaceful location high in the North Buckinghamshire Countryside. Surrounded by spectacular country views we can seat 120 guests for a Wedding Breakfast with an additional 80 guests in the evening. Licensed for Civil Ceremonies with a choice of locations in the Main Barn or in the quiet gardens near the orchard with just the birds singing -next to the 17th Century Farmhouse.

New for 2021 ‘A Secret Garden’ Ideal for photographs..

The barn has a vaulted heavily beamed ceiling incorporating specialist lighting with twinkling fairy lights throughout the barn and in the courtyard, complete with water feature creating a magical atmosphere. There is a large well stocked bar accepting cash or card for very reasonably priced drinks.

On the upstairs gallery level you will find rustic furniture and a Cocktail /Gin Bar with a dedicated mixologist mixing amazing cocktails - even creating a special ‘Signature’ Cocktail for your wedding day if requested. Just off the gallery is a ‘snug’ - a separate comfortable lounge area with mood lighting for a quiet space where guests can relax and chat.

On the day before your wedding you are welcome to come and set the barn out as you would like it and the day after your wedding collect your decorations at your leisure - no rush .

Large silk lined marquee (15m x 9m) with chandelier and starlight lighting directly attached to the barn as additional space for your drinks reception, music or entertainment or as a children’s area - included in the cost of your wedding Large open garden at the rear for garden games* Sound system for spotify downloads using the latest technology, plus two drop down screens and projectors - the barn is cosy in winter months with underfloor heating throughout.

Importantly you have an option to choose your own caterers. We have recommended caterers offering 3 course menus, buffets, hog roasts, sharing platters, paella pans, street food with no minimum numbers allowing you the flexibility to choose one to suit your style and budget

On site is our Associated Company ‘The Complete Wedding Package’ who have everything you may need for a competitive price ie LED Dance Floor, Photo Booth, Candy Cart, Garden Games, Rose Wall and lots more - everything at Winters Tale can be customised by our on site graphic designer. Helicopter landings are also possible We welcome your furry friends here in the Countryside with numerous photo opportunities.

The barn can be used as a Bridal dressing room during the morning of your wedding with ample space for Hairdressers, Beauticians, and Bridesmaids.
