There is something about a spring sheaf that I love, promise of what's to come maybe? Tulips and daffodils in all their golden glory, Iris and wax flower too, spring will soon be here.
Although it's chilly here in North Cornwall, today is a perfect time to get my accounts in order finally, I can procrastine no longer !

On a willow ring and hay as a base for the first time. All Cornish foliages.

After using only British flowers all summer, using such beautiful flowers from so far away did jar a bit.
But made using a willow posy in moss and local foliage, at least there is no floral foam in sight.
And they are rather beautiful aren't they?

I've been floral foam free for 5 years now and this last year have made big strides in using predominantly local and British flowers.
Together with I will be running a days course on how to make a sustainable and biodegradable cross tribute.
Aimed at florists who are moving away from floral foam it will be a fun and informative day.
Using mostly dried flowers grown on site with some hedgerow treasures too.

Held on November 10th 10.30 start, it will include home cooked pizza in a wood fired oven for lunch.

Everything in this 5 foot spray was grown locally, apart from requested roses. Yellow roses and a leek for a much loved and respected local lady who hailed from Wales.
She will be hugely missed 💔
