I'm trying to bring out the sun again with todays post, iphone said it was supposed to be sunny but I can't see any sign of it yet. Although to be fair, it is still only January!

This is one of my favourite wedding photos ever. I'm not totally sure why, I think its because these guys are just way cooler than I ever was. But, this photo, on the sofa in front of the swimming pool, with a sneaky bit of leg from the bride... I just love it!

N&H were lucky enough to use a family home for their wedding and it was a simply stunning location. I love home weddings, they really are everything I'm about. They give you the opportunity to make the day completely your own, no-one is telling you what time you can access or where everything has to go. However, it also means theres no one to allocate all the little jobs to, so thats where I come in.

On the day coordination is perfect for home weddings, allowing you to sit back and relax and enjoy your day knowing all the details are taken care of. After all, you deserve to be a guest your own wedding!

This weekend I’m looking forward to celebrating a family members special birthday. Like many, family is really important to me and I love weddings for seeing families all together, having fun and enjoying catching up and partying together.

Weddings are such a lovely day to be part of and so many people say being a wedding planner must be an awesome job, it is!

Look at the commitment here from the bridal party to really create the moment!

I love seeing all the extra things couple’s add to their day. I’m very much about the details that make your day yours and if you can’t think of anything, am happy to help you come up with some ideas. I’ve seen lots of different things, although some of my favourites were surfboard and riding saddle guestbooks and bandeoke instead of a first dance to name a few!

On the day coordination.

So why did I choose this to focus on? Well, for a lot of the couples I’ve worked with, they’re happy to find their own suppliers but just want a helping hand through the planning process or to know that they have someone there on their side, whose sole focus on the day is them.

I love working with couples to bring the details together on their day be that setting up the venue just how you want it, or just taking the stress out of the day for you by coordinating your suppliers so you don’t have to. After 8 years in business I’ve done a lot of thinking this year about what I enjoy the most about weddings and the best way I can help people have an awesome day. And I’ve come to the conclusion it's time to do things a bit differently!

I’m moving away from the typical wedding planner offering and totally focusing on the type of planning I enjoy the most - on the day coordination. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get my website remodelled and show you my new plans. Of course there is more to it than just on the day coordination, but we’ll come to that later! When the bride and groom want to take time out from their guests to go and have special photos on the beach! This is such a beautiful moment for the couple to have some time alone and just absorb the day. Times like this is where I can really help, you get to do your thing and I’ll make sure your guests are looked after and enjoying the party. At the gorgeous Polhawn Fort, Devon, guests were treated to games on the lawn before inviting them all inside for a delicious sit down meal.

Getting a review like the one below makes everything so worth while. Its amazing to feel like you've helped to make someone's wedding day so easy and enjoyable. On the day coordination really is there to just take the pressure off you, get in touch if you want to know more.

"Clair coordinated our wedding in August and was absolutely fantastic.

I reached out to her a few months before the day, because we were struggling a little with our venue's planning team and we were a bit worried it wasn't all going to go to plan. Clair knew exactly what we needed, put together a plan to coordinate all of our suppliers and took over all contact with them a month ahead of our wedding.

Knowing that we didn't have to do all of that last minute coordination ourselves was a massive weight of our minds, freed us up to enjoy the last few weeks before the big day, and gave us the time to add fun details like a pub quiz the night before the wedding - which we would never have had the time to do otherwise.

On the day Clair arrived early and helped get everything set up, was our first point of contact for all our suppliers, and helped us make some last minute decisions about the wedding, like whether to have the ceremony inside or outside in some very changeable weather! Again, this was a huge help in what otherwise would have been quite a stressful situation. She was an oasis of calm when we needed her most!

We couldn't recommend Clair highly enough. The wedding coordination was probably the most important thing in allowing us to enjoy the day, and I would happily have trimmed the budget elsewhere to make sure we afford it."

Something borrowed something blue! The wonderful thing about weddings is how much tradition can be adapted to make every event unique, and every wedding should be just that. My bride looks truly wonderful in her blue wellies, and it is probably that detail that everyone will remember most. The more individual your wedding is, the more work it is going to be. This is why I do what I do. Look at this perfect moment. It’s hard to believe that this is not the set of some romantic film, everything is just so right! Like a film everything is coordinated to come together in this exact moment, the joining of two lives, two families, two groups of friends, in a celebration that is exactly of itself. So much work goes into making this happen, from so many different people, but it is all worth it when you see this result.

Had a lovely chat with a couple about their wedding at Sherbourne Park next year. Its such a beautiful venue with so much potential to really make your day your own. So I had to look back through the pictures from when I coordinated E&T's wedding there.

They had a gorgeous marquee wedding and were lucky enough to have a super hot day - although it did mean we nearly had a disaster when the cake started to get too warm, thankfully I managed to save it in time!

For many years I was told that because I didn't drink coffee I wasn't a real grown up. Well I think I have now achieved adult status (even if not fully in my mind!).

I've always hated coffee but after another request to have espresso martinis at a wedding I thought I would have to give them a try - all in the name of research obviously! Well, they are my new found favourite and I couldn't believe I'd been missing out. Since then I've even moved on to drinking real hot coffee too, yay me!

fulfilled one of my brides wishes creating an espresso martini bar for their day. Whilst I was professional and didn't partake in a martini that day, I thoroughly enjoyed my iced coffee for the journey home, I wonder if they do espresso martini home deliveries....🤔
