Nestled within the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, conveniently situated for access, it is the perfect place for your wedding day dreams to become a reality. Just a stone’s throw from the Barn are our luxurious glamping tents. Fully equipped with bedding, towels, USB charging and a few goodies for you and you and your guests to spend the night. The tents and shower block are heated so no matter the time of year, you are guaranteed a comfortable and cosy stay.

The day involved a range of in-house team building activities conducted by members of the Alswick Team aswell as a lunch spread produced by one of our catering partners, B&R Dining.

Having the crisp white snow settle on their special day made their intimate wedding extra magical🤍 K & M embraced the wintery season using Christmassy touches for their wedding themes throughout the Barn, creating the ultimate cosy atmosphere🎄

‘My husband Luke and I got married at the Barn at Alswick in October 2023. The venue is absolutely stunning and is a perfect blank canvas for any style or theme you want for your wedding. We chose to go for an autumnal theme and the gardens were absolutely stunning, they took our breath away on the day! Ellie was our Wedding Coordinator and was incredible throughout the planning process. Alswick really do provide as much help and guidance as you would like. All of the staff were great on the day and as other reviews have stated, really ensure everything runs smoothly so that as the bride and groom you really don't need to think about what's happening on the day or whether everything is running on time, it just happens! We also stayed on site at the glamping, all of our guests were so complimentary and had a great time. Highly recommend Alswick for your wedding ❤️’

Corporate Meeting and Conference Space

Accommodating both smaller groups of up to 14 in our intimate meeting spaces, and larger numbers of up to 220 in the main Barn. The Barn at Alswick offers a variety of bright and contemporary, yet characterful rooms to host your corporate and social events in a peaceful rural location. Packages include tea, coffee and biscuits throughout. A working cold buffet lunch, water on the table, Wi-fi and a 42” screen with HDMI connection.

Our Story

Husband & wife team Matt and Kay Hamilton-Crook launched The Barn at Alswick in 2017 with the wish to provide a really personal approach to hosting weddings.

“So many venues become a conveyor-belt of events, where weddings become less personal, less distinctive somehow. We saw an opportunity to offer something different, a far more individual experience, where we don’t have to abide a set format and strict rules’

The Barn at Alswick hold a limited number of weddings each year, enabling them to offer a truly exclusive experience for all their couples, who can enjoy being fully centre stage.
