A comment we hear regularly... We would like to get married but really don't want a sit down meal!
Dont worry - we've got this covered.
Laura & Kriss who got married with us earlier this year, demonstrated this package perfectly. With their ceremony at 4pm, followed by their drinks reception & canapes, followed by their evening guests arival and evening food being served to their guests whilst standing. We eliminated the "sit down meal" meaning more time to mingle, dance and have fun!

The Barn at Alswick is a versatile venue that caters to both small and large groups, making it an ideal choice for corporate and social events. Tea, Coffee, Biscuits & Fruit provided throughout.
Pastries upon arrival and a working cold buffet lunch. Water & Cordials on the tables and Wi-fi.

For meetings of over 8, as well as larger events of up to 150 seated and 220 standing.
The Dressing Room -
For meetings up to 8 people.

September 12th 2025. Our first ever event with no power!
Lightening struck around 3pm, this gave us 3 hours to gather all the candles, battery powered lamps and with power cut drills practised many of times, we finally got to put our generators to work. Powering the band and our toilets!
No power - no problem!

Husband & wife team Matt and Kay Hamilton-Crook launched The Barn at Alswick in 2017 with the wish to provide a really personal approach to hosting weddings.

The Barn prides itself on offering a simple pricing structure to allow couples to maintain control over the all-important wedding budget. With only two mandatory elements required from the Barn (venue hire and drinks packages) everything else is the coupleβs choice.
