The Lavenham.
Gorgeous mix of foliage with pops of warm orange and red. Finished with a classic and sophisticated navy bow. Definitely one of our favourites this year.
Just a little bit of ‘insta reality’… photographing stock with a helper.
The first full pick from the flower patch. This weekends bouquets will be 100% homegrown right here in Chedburgh, Suffolk. Talk about zero air miles!
All of our flowers are grown without the use of pesticides so not only are they planet friendly they’re bee friendly too! (And judging by the amount/variety of bees joining me this morning they are happy with our selection too!)
Sound on for bees and birdsong.

The Cutting Garden Diaries…
Here come the first snapdragons (antirrhinums), these first few pickings will be slightly shorter (around 30 - 40cms) but the more you pick these the more you get and as the plant grows (now we finally have gorgeous weather!) these should hit 90cms with cut stems of around 50 - 60cm.
Everything is a trial this year but so far I’m really pleased with these, they’re healthy plants and happy in their raised bed.
We are growing a variety of types including Majus White, Chantilly Velvet, Chantilly Purple, Sonnet Carmine, Sonnet Burgundy and Appleblossom. All grown from a mixture of seed and plugs from @sarahravensgarden

We’ve started potting on our cut flowers and will begin the process of hardening off. All these pots mean we’ve had to buy an extra greenhouse (well this plastic one at least!). The cooler temperatures mean our cutting patch is lagging a few weeks behind but soon enough we’ll be creating beautiful bouquets using our very own Suffolk grown blooms.
The greenhouse is full of flower and vegetable seedlings and now potting up has started we’re drastically running out of space… a quick trip to the local @lovewilko has given us a wee bit of wriggle room though in the form of this plastic greenhouse. I’m really impressed by how sturdy this feels, they’ve come a long way from the tiny rickety things me and my mum had many moons ago! Not only does this give us extra space but we’re using it as a stepping stone to hardening off. Currently is full of antirrhinums, strawflowers, rudbeckia, Ammi and some of my dahlias. Now hurry up warmer weather!#gardening #cutflowergarden #cutflowerpatch #flowerfarm #suffolkflowerfarm #suffolkcutflowers #suffolkgrown #growninsuffolk #suffolkflorist #florist #floristandflowerfarm #floristry #homegrownflowers #cutflowers #suffolksmallbusiness #thegreenroom #suffolkflowergarden #madeinsuffolk #suffolkcreatives #suffolkliving
