Thinking of a jester costume for Wacky Woody - like this but without any make up. At the moment I just wear combats with a red polo shirt. Good idea? Put a thumbs up. Stick to polo shirt put a laughing emoji.

Doing over 40 shows for kids with additional needs at The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust this Christmas. One of the kids from a group last week drew this amazing picture of me and sent it in.

Tomorrow - Wacky Woody Magic Show

Join Wacky Woody under the Hayloft for a special fun-filled Comedy Magic Show this half-term. The show will be packed full of laughs, surprises and plenty of audience participation!
Each show will last approximately 30 minutes and will be aimed at children 4-11 (but big kids are sure to love it too!)

This is a activity - No need to book , just turn up 😊

Shows at 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm under the hayloft in the Stables courtyard.

Is it time to have my cartoon redrawn? This was done 10 years ago and it's served me so well - I love it. But let's face it, I'm older and have a beard now. I need new party invitations printing and will get 5000 done, which will last a couple of years. So it's now or in a couple of years.

I HATE it when I hear a comment like “it’ll do - they’re just kids”. NO! NO! NO! They deserve 100% effort on the part of an adult. Wether that be food, entertainment, education or whatever!

And with that in mind I’ve adapted a quote attributed to Gandhi - wether he said it or not this sums up my heartfelt belief and ethos - I love this:

Children are the most important people to my business. They are not dependent on me. I am dependent on them. They are not an interruption to my work. They are the purpose of it. They are not an outsider to my business. They are part of it. I am not doing them a favour by performing to them. They are doing me a favour by giving me the opportunity to do so.

Christmas present idea for 7+ (or younger with an adult team mate). Ticket to Ride - First Journey. This is a truly brilliant game and good for helping with European geography knowledge. They also do more complicated versions but this one is perfect for primary school kids. We get soooo excited playing this in our house! Not cheap but worth it!

Thought for the day

I’ve been very insistent that we read each Harry Potter together before watching the films. Last night, during chapter 13 of Chamber of Secrets Olivia and Freddie were wide eyed in amazement, excitement and was totally thrilled. The chapter about Tom Riddle’s diary had them entranced. And when the reveal came about who opened the Chamber 50 years before Olivia gasped - you just don’t get the same reaction if they watch the film first - honestly it’s parental duty to ensure they read them first! 😃👍

The first ever birthday girl at a Wacky Woody party was 4 year old Grace. She turns 14 today. 10 years on Thursday since that first party and Wacky Woody is still going strong and entertaining thousands of kids every year.
