AUDITIONS ARE NOT FAR OFF! Come join our world of PURE IMAGINATION!

Ballywillan Drama Group is thrilled to announce open auditions for our 2025 production of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!

Adult Audition Night: (Aged 16 or over)
- Date: Monday, 10 June
- Time: Registrations from 7 PM
- Location: Carnalridge Primary School

Auditions for the Role of CHARLIE:
- Date: Tuesday, 11 June
- Time: Registrations from 7 PM
- Location: Carnalridge Primary School

Important Note:
We may hold call-backs on Thursday, 13 June. Please keep this date free if you are auditioning, as call-backs may be necessary for both adult roles and the role of Charlie.

Casting Information:
We are auditioning for all roles in the show. We are particularly eager to hear from those interested in joining our Dance Troupe and, of course, those auditioning for the titular role of Charlie Bucket. Please note that all roles, except for Charlie, should be played by individuals aged 16 or over.

All non-current members are required to notify us of their intention to audition by completing an online form. This form is available on our website along with audition materials.

Join the Magic! Be Our Dance Captain for CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!

Are you ready to step into a world of pure imagination? Ballywillan Drama Group is on the hunt for a Dance Captain / Repetiteur to sprinkle some dance magic on our cast.

In this voluntary role, you’ll team up with our talented choreographers to make sure our cast's moves are as sweet as candy. You’ll be the go-to for practicing, perfecting, and repeating choreography until it’s as smooth as chocolate.

Got some tap skills? That’s a golden ticket (but not a dealbreaker)! You could also appear onstage as one of our Dancers if desired.

If you're over 18, have a passion for dance, and want to be part of a whimsical adventure, we want to hear from you.

Do you love to dance? Do you have moves as sweet as Wonka’s chocolate? We are on the hunt for DANCERS to join our scrumdidilyumptious dance troupe for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Become one of our golden ticket winners and take centre stage, bringing the oomph to our Oompa-Loompa-worthy choreography in at least four of the show’s biggest, most magical numbers!

Those interested should attend our adult audition night, having prepared a short dance lasting between 1 min and 1 min 30 sec. This can be to music of your own choice, or no music. If wanting to dance to music, please bring along something to play your music on (eg your phone).
