Why am I doing what I am doing?
Since having my daughter and being invited to some really lovely birthday parties by her sweet friends I really noticed the amount of pressure families are under to pull off a great day for their little ones and friends, unfortunately this often comes at a cost, both economically, as well as environmentally. Somewhere, compromises need to be made and more often than not parents do not want to be left with mountains of washing up at the end of the party and equally don’t have 20+ sets of childrens tableware lying around at home. So they do what we would all do and reduce the work load and cost by buying cheap disposable plates, tablecloths, cups etc, often in dull colours. However ,although this may make life easier on the day it contributes to the already unacceptble amount of waste we produce and much of it cannot or does not get recycled.
Here’s where Little Rainbows comes in. We have over 40 sets of brightly coloured and pastel coloured child size plates, bowls, cups and cutlery along with reusable tablecloths in various fun patterns, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” bunting, serving jugs, serving plates and bowls available to hire. All you need to do is contact me to book the date, arrange collection (local delivery may also be possible) enjoy your party, gather everything back up into the dirties bag and get it back for me to wash ready for it to be reused again and again.
Please consider the impact our way of life is having on the environment which we are leaving behind for our children and grandchildren and do your part to combat this climate disaster we are heading towards one step at a time.
