Window art, mural artist and face painter. Craft workshops. Monmouthshire, South Wales I charge £40 for 1 hour, £55 for 1.5 hours or £70 for 2 hours.

I can paint 12-15 kids an hour depending on design. I can offer the popular designs from princess, superheroes to frozen and more. If you have a particular theme you would like me to stick to just let me know beforehand. Futher than Newport or Chepstow there is a travel cost of 30p a mile.

Then later this afternoon a face painting party at Caerwent.

Remember to secure your date and return your booking forms with venue details, times etc and deposit as stated in the booking form.

I am unable to hold dates for longer than a few days or agreed time, first come, first served basis.

Email or a message will be sent to confirm booking has been made. All necessary details, stall holder info or booking times will be checked.

Once intial enquiry has been made this itself is not a booking. I receive many random enquiries and if I held space for all I would be out of work. To follow up, a booking form and a deposit is required. This is your contract.
I follow up all details in written form.

Face painting is perfect for the smaller birthday parties at home. All I need is a small coffee table or breakfast bar, perfectly sized for the indoor parties this winter.

My kit is quite minimal and low fuss, but allowing me to be creative with design and colour choices. Sitting nicely without taking over the room with a ton of stuff the painter don't need!

I have plenty of designs to choose from, glitter tattoos and for the older children festival glitter for that festival vibe.

December 2012 I started my face painting journey. Fast forward to 2013 and I set up my business, taking off in 2014 going 100% self employed.
I bring experience of many years working events, working in hospitality and before that years working in design/printing and exhibitions. Since having my own family I also spent time working in schools supporting children with additional needs, playgroup settings and toddler craft sessions at the art cafe.
I take great care in providing a professional, clean face paint kit, family friendly designs and bespoke to your event.
I pride myself on being a friendly approachable face painter. I enjoy my job and work hard at what I do.

Diary is now open for Christmas windows from next week.
Areas I cover Pontypool, Cwmbran, Newport, Caldicot and Chepstow.
End of November and 1st week of December dates go quick.
Message with a photo of your window and an idea of what design you would like painted. Commercial and Residential windows.

The last week we have seen a drop in temperatures, chilling winds and the nights are getting darker now much earlier.

Please do bare in mind this time of year I need to think about my team members, their face paint kit, paint water temperatures and the comfort of the children in my seat and queue.

For this reason that from September onwards we are unable to work outside. We need shelter, lighting and heating to protect us from the cold temperatures and sometimes driving rain.

The nature of our work requires us to sit for long hours. Sitting in the cold is uncomfortable, sometimes painful and can damage our health.

Chatting yesterday to a couple who I painted at their wedding in 2016. 2 kids and a dog later and here I am painting one of the boys.

Tell me you are a face painter, without telling me you are a face painter! I will go first, here we go......

Alice the dragon came to live with me for a make over! After lots of preparation, stripping the fabric off the sculpture, removing and paint stripping the glue dots I finally got down to the bare sculpture. Standing at 5ft 5in and a large wingspan and a tooth which caught my head at times I wished I was just that bit taller, ha. Alice the dragon woke from her deep hibernation in the garage and I am happy with the results. Alice flew the nest (well had a drive on top of a car!) and arrived home on Friday. I hope Alice will enjoy her new garden view!

I had always wanted a chance to paint a remembrance mural. In 2022 the gable end of a cottage became the perfect canvas for the mural. Incorporating a silhouette, sunset (going down of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them) and the poppies flower of remembrance. Painted in the June, quite a significant week for me being the anniversary of when I enlisted many years ago. Also important dates being the week of D day and the run upto the 40th Falklands anniversary. This mural I found quite emotional to do, but worth it, to pay my respects. #poppymural #muralartist #remembrancemural #iamaveteran

What a lovely few hours of sunshine this week painting the community garden mural for Togetherworks Caldicot Inspiration taken from the many wild flowers around the garden. So many lovely comments, people enjoy looking at the gardens as they pass by. The garden volunteers have worked so hard making the garden, harvesting the veg which in turn is used for the community freezer project. The groups using the hub this week were loving the progress of the mural. I hope it brings joy as much as I did painting it.

Our Story

Here at Irene’s Face Painting we have very high standards; we aim to provide a personal, professional and magical service. I wanted to take this opportunity to share my story with you so you can understand my journey and why I have such endless enthusiasm for face painting.

I fell in love with face painting in December 2012 when I had training at the play centre where I worked. I have always been a creative type having spent many years as a graphic designer in the printing industry. After having children I needed to take a change in jobs so the school agency work and soft play centre was just the thing I needed. However little did I know I was about to ignite my creative side again....all it took was a face paint kit and some brushes.

Jump forward a bit and I soon found myself being asked for party bookings and indeed found very little time for my soft play job. So I took the plunge and went self employed! That was 4 years ago and I have not looked back!

I have built up my team of face painters traveling across South Wales, Forest of Dean and Bristol. We regularly paint at sport events, celebrations, store openings and of course personal celebrations like weddings and birthdays. Indeed we paint all ages spreading our love of painting with a sparkle and a smile!
