Since 2011, I've had the pleasure of calling Venachar Lochside my professional home. I started as a part-time waitress and worked my way up to become the sole director in September 2016. Venachar Lochside isn't just a job for me; it's my baby and a massive part of my life. This place is my livelihood and my second home, where I've learnt and grown so much over the years, both professionally and personally.
When I'm not at Venachar, you can find me embracing the great outdoors - climbing, horse riding, or enjoying any adventure nature has to offer. Life is an exciting journey, both at work and in my free time, and I'm thrilled to share it with such an amazing community.

Take a look at this bright and sunny ceremony led by the wonderful Beverly Bryant. Beverly is here very often, and we cannot recommend her enough – there’s a reason she keeps coming back! Of course, she loves us, but so do our couples. With her experience and ability to tell stories, there is never a ceremony lacking in laughter and occasionally tears.

This is not a wedding - obviously! We absolutely love hosting events for all sorts of occasions, and last week's paddleboard race organised by Roll Outdoors was no exception. It was an absolute blast! A special shout-out to the two fantastic reps from Red Paddle Co who showcased their amazing boards and offered free demos to all our visitors. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and everyone had a great time trying out the boards.

To all you foodies out there who know how much good food contributes to a great wedding, we appreciate you! Not many people think about the quality of food and focus more on the menu choices. Thankfully, with our history in the old restaurant overlooking the loch, we have not lost our touch when it comes to food. If anything, our food is better now that we have time during the drinks reception to create these pieces of art.

One thing we love about our home - Venachar Lochside, is that there are so many different places to take photos. Our wee hidden gem offers great photo opportunities to all our guests, photographers, and of course our happy newlyweds. We have a beautiful jetty, ceremony green space looking over Ben Venue, and our floral entrance for a rustic backdrop seen in these joyful photos. taken by the lovely . As you can tell, we just love our venue and want to share it with as many people as we can. Here's how we approach the photo frame question. Do you fill your venue with photos or just decorations? It’s definitely about balance! We highly recommend having photo frames around your wedding venue, especially when they showcase meaningful photos, memories, loved ones who have passed, and moments that many of your guests will remember. Make the most of your photos by telling a story—perhaps create a timeline starting with when you first met, followed by your 4th date, then the day you got the keys to your house, and when your dog came along, etc. The only thing we suggest avoiding is overfilling your venue with photos. Choose your images wisely, and place them creatively around the venue so that guests can interact with them, making the experience much more meaningful. We absolutely love seeing images of you (the couple), your family, friends, and any funny moments from your lives!
