Beautiful Bride Helen 🤍 Alterations for a very special vow renewal last year

I can’t explain to you all quite how big this dress was on Helen when we had our first fitting 👰🏻‍♀️ She fell in love with a dress that was at least 4 or 5 sizes bigger than she was!

So there was a lot of pinning and so much fabric chopped out in this alteration process but the fit on this dress in the end was absolutely stunning and how beautiful did she look ✨

Beautiful Bride Jodie 🤍 I absolutely loved working on this stunning Disney bridal gown!

This dress started out strapless, too big in the bust and far too long. With a little magic it fit Jodie like a glove and I managed to source some patterned glitter tulle that almost perfectly matched the original fabric to create the draped sleeve and they finished the dress off wonderfully 🪡🧵

Flower girl gown • for little miss Poppy Penelope

I call this a gown, not just a dress because quite simply it’s the most decadent and gorgeous flower girl dress I’ve made to date and calling it a dress doesn’t seem to give it that justice it deserves

With 15 layers of tulle individually cut, gathered, pressed, pinned to get the perfect ombré and then stitched on the skirt took roughly 12 hours alone.

The bodice has numerous luxurious ruffles along the armhole and following the neck down the back of the dress, to imitate butterfly wings. In which, I adapted quite a few patterns to get perfect and to look seamless.

As much love and attention goes into a dress a quarter of the size because smiles like these are worth every single stitch.

Twirl though the week as if you have this gorgeous dress on floating around you 🤍

This dress moves like a dream, the crinoline horsehair trim on the hem adds a modern finish but also makes the skirt drop nicely around you and when your husband to be twirls you it’s just perfection.

It’s details like this that I really pride myself on and makes all the difference when making a bespoke wedding dress.

From design to reality • Real bride Samantha 🤍

From the moment I knew I would be designing Samantha’s wedding dress we were exploding with ideas of shapes, silhouettes, fabric ideas and how to keep the balance with the theme of her and Lucas’s wedding.

In July last year we went to a bridal shop for her to try some gowns on and to see what she felt good in and what she definitely didn’t like. Samantha found the silhouette she felt most like a bride in which, like most brides - was poles apart from what she had originally thought of having!

I got started on some sketches, pulling details and shapes that she fell in love with, along with some ideas from myself and after a few designs landed on the sketch in this post!

Designing a gown from scratch can be a lengthy process and even when we do land on a final design, details can always be changed and added, which is always so much fun. Like the beautifully fluttery draped sleeves I added onto Samantha’s dress nearly at the end of creating this gown.

This bespoke service I provide my brides is an incredibly personal and unique journey for each and every woman on the run up to their wedding day.

Alterations for the lovely bride Anna 👰🏼‍♀️🤍

I started work on this wedding dress needing replacement sleeves as it had holes in the underarms and the fit bit quite right, a few little fixes around the dress needed and a full hem on very intricate lace.

After a few fittings and some tlc to this dress it fit Anna like a glove, the sleeves were a perfect fit and didn’t look like anything had been changed.
