Just had to share this lovely photo of my beautiful girl! She is taking a short walk to the registry office with the bridesmaids, to get married-looking very happy! I managed to incorporate her colours and her favourite flowers into her bouquet, it was a labour of love 💕

Please forgive the unprofessional photography! Better will follow. Just a few snaps of my daughters wedding this weekend, of course I provided the flowers! (Special thanks to Fiona of for supplying such a gorgeous variety of flowers)It's difficult to capture them in situ, but it gives an idea. The bride and groom worked hard to give clever little details for the venue which gave a lovely handcrafted feel. The last pic is obviously the bride before removing her veil, she looked beautiful in simple splendour! Haaaa and now it's all over but it was a truly lovely day!

I know it's not much but I'm a little proud; this little vase of flowers are the first since I started to grow a few plants specifically for cut flowers....I will never be a flower farmer! But I will take pleasure in adding a few of my home grown to my work 😊

Sorry to bore with my Roses......again!
It's taken 5 years to get to this, after the wrong location, then a move and recovery, it's the first year that they are so bold and beautiful! (Not in comparison to most but to me it's wonderful)

A big thank you to debbie for supporting me in a little photoshoot for , a new directory just launched www.farewellflowers.co.uk , to enable a connection between those wanting a more sustainable approach to funeral flowers for their loved ones, and florists who can supply compostable, foam free natural casket sprays, wreaths, sheaf bouquets etc.

Debbie kindly allowed me to use her workshop and space to photograph whilst supplying me with tea and encouraging comments! ☺️

I love it when the flower farms are open! ( Think I already said that!) Everything is early this year too, the essence of late spring but about 3 weeks ahead. Iris, ranunculus, euphorbia, allium, hesperis, wee tiny little geums. A bigg, very special Birthday bouquet.....

"Thank you for such a gorgeous bouquet!! The flowers look so fresh and combination elegant. We all loved it.
Thanks again😊"
I always aim to give a personal touch with any flowers no matter how big or small. I do not do e-commerce as it depersonalises the process, it means that it is slower but much more rewarding all round, (I am not churning out a thoughtless bunch to a name on a form) So when the moment came that special family connection was made.
21st Birthday: S was very happy to receive her bouquet......mum and I were chatting for a month before to collect the details and find the right time and location to surprise her! Tricky when your girl is at University the other side of the country, you want to surprise her but you don't know where exactly she will be on the day.....in the end it did not matter as the special connection between the family was made. The little card with a personal family message on the bouquet was the final seal 🪷

Who wouldn't want local farm grown british flowers?? Ok, so they might be a bit more expensive, but they are so worth it! Strong, amazing, different, unusual and just gawwwjus!!!
As in any other product you get what you pay for, these are about as far away from supermarket flowers that you can get!
Looking forward to making bouquets with them tomorrow!

For National Pet Day: This is my Romanian princess Alma, that's her thoughts not mine! She looks like butter wouldn't melt....She does allow me to work for a few hours (whilst stealing from my buckets!) in exchange for a treat and cuddles. However if I am unoccupied for a minute she assumes it's walkies or play time. Walkies are still a challenge as she is very reactive, but if I take her to an enclosure she can play with other dogs and run, she is at her happiest belting around like a mad dog! I can see collie but also Saluki/lurcher; she has the weird gangliness!

Where not to keep your flowers! BTW They will last much longer if you don't put them in direct sunlight...who can tell me what else you can do to keep your flowers longer.?
Most supermarket flowers last a freaky amount of time because they are bred to and pumped with preservatives. British flowers are more beautiful, more natural and so will not last 3 weeks, but I would never have anything else! What's your opinion ??

I'm all about finesse with my bucket photography!!
But at least I managed to take a few before and afters before they went out. I get so involved in the process I often forget to take photos....
Anyway I'm loving this colour combo of pinks....Happy Mother's Day to both mum's of humans and animal babies!
