Whenever I have a few extra flowers I like to have a little 'play', I usually do a vase or little vases. This time I thought I would have a go at a willow heart which I have never tried before, it's far from perfect but I don't mind that! It could be used for farewell flowers, a grave tribute, a spring door wreath or even for Valentine's!

Quick snaps of weekend bouquets. I love all Narcissi but particularly one that has just come in, Cheerfulness is what I have always called it, it does what it says on the tin! Gorgeous scent and cream fluffy double petals are a winner for me. Happy weekend all!

Amazing British Tulips, so much variety! I missed National Tulip Day so this is a belated homage.
I absolutely love tulips from the humble singles to the blousey doubles, pure white to deep purple, and every size and shape imaginable!

Last of '24 roundup of seasonal British flowers! August to December.
As you can see using British flowers means shopping around, using all the glorious and ever-changing available at the time! One of my pleasures is the challenge of a mixed bucket, creating from all the wonders found in a bucket!
Of course the main feature is my daughter and her partners' wedding, I don't think I have mentioned it before!! 😅 All flowers by the fantabulous Fiona .
The next most memorable is finding chrysanthemums locally in November! Amazing and lasted almost a month! From
The dahlias were pyo from , and the gorgeous peach pink etc. mix from , also the start of my winter supply from .
Thank you all. Looking forward to '25!

More Best of British! April to July '24
These are the most abundant months, full of variety shape and colour .....I grow a few flowers in my own garden which sometimes appear in my work, love my roses but I will admit I am a little reluctant to cut them! This year I plan to try some different annuals, however I will never be able to produce the likes of the above by and !!

January to March '24: All British Flowers....it is possible to supply year round flowers; sometimes there may be a limited palette but to go all British you need to take whatever there is available! As you can see they are always beautiful.
A personal thank you to 'my farmers' who supplied last year

My very talented brother made this amazing clock for my lounge.....I might have to remove the second hand as it moves soo quickly that I am constantly reminded just how quickly time goes by.... there is the quote; (don't know who said it) the one that says we should live every minute! Blimey! I can only just form the first word of a sentence in about 15 seconds! So I won't be making the most of each second/minute exactly but I do need to appreciate and make the most of my time!
Here's to a very Happy New Year to All! 😄

Lunchtime Challenge!: ok so I was procrastinating.... avoiding wrapping, shopping and preparation!
I gave myself half an hour to use leftover pine and other bits + a few bits from my garden. Now I'm not claiming that it will last the coming wind and rain but it was an exercise with no pressure or stress!

The village garden club had their wreath making evening; they brought their own foliage and decorations. I showed them how to apply the moss on the willow base, hard work but everyone managed it! Then they were off with their foliage, I answered snagging questions on how to make the foliage base stay and achieve the look they wanted...I hope they all enjoyed their evening, I know I did!
Each wreath is completely individual and different from each other; wonderful!!

It's officially Wreath Season! I delivered to the lovely Sam White of Secret Escape, Hair Stylist at Clopton Farm today, the family home and other businesses are situated in a great spot with farm and exotic animals, it's a far cry from having a hair cut in Cambridge! No trying to beat traffic and park....Sam is a very experienced and talented hair stylist so call the number on the door! (Excuse my ghostly presence in the background!)

I don't know why British flower farmers don't grow more chrysanthemums, there are so many varieties, colours and types! And they should be the mainstay at the end of the season!
They seem pretty hardy, no flowers last as long in centrally heated homes, my customer placed this vase on a table close to a window, which is a double whammy for flower longevity.....
Wreaths can last for many weeks, even through ice and frost, depending on the ingredients used...some of my customers put them in the garden for the birds once done for Christmas.
You will need to water or spritz your wreath if it gets dry, (water sparingly from the back, spritz from the front) when the weather is damp it will be fine unless strong winds dry it out!
I'm taking orders for wreaths, made to order with colours of your choice! Leave a message here or email [email protected].

More lovely chrysanthemums from
This is for my front door, mainly as an experiment to see how it holds up.....well it's had a good soak now!
How long will it last with a small porch roof but open to the elements??
I think the chrysanths will start to lose their petals in a couple of days but it will mostly be intact at the weekend.....of course it depends entirely on the great british weather!
As soon as a flower is cut from the mother plant basically it begins to die....if it is placed straight in water and allowed to condition in peace and quiet away from direct sunlight, it stands a chance of surviving.
I wonder which type of flower lasts the longest out of water?!
