Flowers for a farewell lunch, the food looked really good! Vases for food tables can be tricky, not too big to get in the way but with impact, I think I just got away with the overhangs in the first pic!

Lovely lavender farm near Hitchin, my first 'trip' since recovering from my knee break, the furthest I have walked to date but didn't seem it, distracted by cutting lavender and the vistas! My son's partner drove me and joined my snails pace up the 'hill'! (So patient!) We liked their teepee shelters, but got away with no rain. Great little place with the cafe in a gorgeous characterful barn and lots of interesting nooks!

Bore/Geek alert!! These little zinnias are amazing showing different patterns, the 3rd is an elderly one, a bit faded around the base but still great!
What a difference with a few cooler days and some rain! No. 4 compared to a couple of weeks ago, need to pot on, no room in the garden, so please the achillea is getting on now, and 5 is what they might look like by the end of summer!
