Last week, The Cambridge Dining Company were delighted to cater for a special six day conference with The Institute of Astronomy
โ๐๐จ๐๐๐: ๐๐๐ฐ ๐
๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ฒ,โ was a unique celebration marking 50 years of pioneering advancements at the institute.
This event was an exciting blend of scientific discussions and public talks, all centred around the future of astronomy.
The week kicked off last Sunday night with a canapรฉs reception for the 130 guests out in the grounds.
We then served a variety of lunches throughout the week from artisan sandwiches and salad pots to beautifully styled hot and cold fork buffets and dessert stations.
Cambridge Dining Company also provided all tea, coffee, drinks and snacks throughout the day and worked with our suppliers to create an ambient shaded space in the grounds for guests to relax in.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and feeding the conference attendees over the week and loved receiving this feedback from our client;

The Cambridge Dining Company loved showcasing these vibrant, garden inspired canapรฉs at a recent botanical themed Birthday Party for our client.
Our talented chefs used the finest of ingredients to create delicious mini morsels such as beef fillet carpaccio, beetroot cured salmon and potted crab, mango & basil tartlets. All of our handcrafted canapรฉs were garnished with freshly grown herbs and edible flowers before being stylishly presented on contemporary trays with added floral decor.
These miniature masterpieces perfectly complimented the stunning botanical theme at our clients event. We just love creating bespoke and beautiful food youโll love to eat.

Delivering to offices throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas, Cambridge Dining Company are leading the way with our delicious workplace catering menus, purpose built for office lunches, meetings and post work gatherings.
Vibrant new dishes feature on our just launched summer workplace menu such as: smoked duck breast with watermelon & orange salad & dill mayonnaise and seared tuna with wakame, brown rice, edamame bean, carrot, avocado, soy & ginger.
This week we have been out delivering to Amazonโs office in Cambridge. We provide their employees with lunches on a bi-weekly basis through a pre-agreed menu programme. They select from a range of interesting, seasonal options which can be delivered hot or cold. All employee dietary requirements can also be catered for.
As well as contracted deliveries we also provide a โone-offโ service should it be required.
We have had the pleasure of catering for an employee activity day fuelling the Apple team, meetings for Illumina at Granta Park and client demonstrations at agronomist KWS.

For the third year in a row, Cambridge Dining Company were down at the beautiful on Monday to deliver our largest event of the year.
With over 5,000 university staff members in attendance, we project managed the entire event for our clients by managing all logistics, styling and catering as well as sourcing all suppliers and staff.
The enchanting gardens were closed off to the public as we welcomed thousands of guests into the venue with cold drinks from our two botanic themed rustic stations. We also served freshly prepared Afternoon Tea Boxes and drinks from our three catering tents set-up on the main lawn.
We catered for all dietary requirements in our sustainable Afternoon Tea Box which consisted of freshly prepared salad pots, ciabatta bread, classic pork pie or cheese and onion quiche, chocolate cherry or Victoria sponge cake and a traditional currant scone with clotted cream and jam.
Despite the rain, live music acts entertained the crowds as people sat relaxing with their picnic (and brollies!) in the most beautiful grounds.
One of our largest and favourite functions of the year, we are so proud of our team effort in delivering such a successful, complex event which showcased our full array of event services.

Cambridge Dining Company served a variety of carved meats, vegetarian dishes, fresh bread and delicious vibrant salads from a rustic, botanic adorned bar. We also set up a decadent dessert station alongside tea and coffee for the VIP guests, who could eat with the perfect view overlooking the main stage.
We are looking forward to welcoming another 400 guests in the VIP tent on Thursday afternoon as the festival kicks off again with Sir Tom Jones!

As exclusive caterers to we are very excited to be partnering in the launch of the major Summer exhibition.
Through art, fashion, film, photography and more, Paris 1924: Sport, Art and the Body looks back on the pivotal moment when traditions and trailblazers collided, fusing the Olympicsโ classical legacy with the European avant-garde spirit. It was a breakthrough that forever changed attitudes towards sporting achievement and celebrity, as well as body image and identity, nationalism and class, race and gender.
The exhibition also highlights the extraordinary achievements of the Cambridge University students who won no fewer than 11 Olympic medals for Great Britain that year, including the sprinter Harold Abrahams whose story inspired the award-winning film โChariots of Fireโ.
The exhibition will officially open on the ๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ and run until the ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐.

For the third year in a row, we are thrilled to host our client Raspberry Piโs two day Summer Residential event this week at our partner venue
Barrington Hall works perfectly for corporate functions thanks to itโs extensive grounds, well-equipped suites and large event marquee.

Supporting our community through partnerships and projects is of the upmost importance to The Cambridge Dining Company.
Next month, we are proud to collaborate with Cambridge Past, Present & Future by sponsoring their invitation-only event at Wandlebury Country Park in commemoration of the parkโs 70th Birthday celebrations. Wandlebury is Cambridgeโs first Country Park and has provided generations of people with stunning green space to enjoy.
We are also delighted to be sponsoring the catering for the North Cambridge Academy Prom organised by our wonderful, longstanding client Costello Medical. Costello Medical have supported the NCA for several years and are contributing towards a marquee & entertainment whilst we provide a delicious hot food delivery to be enjoyed before the students dance the night away!
As a company dedicated to a more sustainable approach to catering, we choose to support local suppliers and businesses and donate regularly to local charities such as The Cambridge Food Bank. Last week The Cambridge Dining Company were down at our clientโs to cater for their Business Briefing Event.
We provided rolling refreshments as well as a forkable two course lunch and selection of desserts to over 150 guests in attendance.
KWS is one of the worldโs leading growers and seed producers and they continually provide growers with innovative new varieties to meet varied end-market needs.

This incredible landmark venue hosts an eclectic mix of events throughout the year, including exhibitions, orchestral performances, private dining and more famously, their unique Flower Festival. We are proud to have been working alongside this iconic venue, delivering truly memorable events for over a decade.
โAm I My Brotherโs Keeper?โ is a profound exhibition by renowned British sculptor Sean Henry. The artist himself will be in attendance at this exciting, invitation-only event, speaking alongside the exhibitionโs main artistic curator.

Over 400 guests were welcomed into the countryside venue with drinks from our team before exploring the grounds where a range of interactive themed activities were available for all to enjoy. From a mega slide to soft play, circus school to face painting, science activity centre to fairground stalls, we worked with a wealth of fantastic suppliers we trust to deliver this amazing, fun-filled family event. The upmarket venue set up a luxury marquee in their private grounds where the guests congregated for fun, food and dancing. Cambridge Dining Company served a delicious feast from three rustic grazing stations filled with vibrant foliage to set the tone within the refined space. The stations housed our skilled chef team who carved local meats to order alongside colourful, seasonal salads and side dishes. Guests then enjoyed a special dessert which took inspiration from the happy coupleโs favourite treat. Our chefs decorated @magnum ice creams with a variety of yummy toppings which were then stylishly presented on crushed ice with edible flowers. This is where you get to see our dedicated chefs and events team hard at work preparing, plating and delivering our fantastic food across the vast museum building. Guests were welcomed into the founders entrance of the museum with professionally served drinks and canapรฉs before making their way through to opulent Gallery 7 for dinner. As guests took their seats they were treated to a chilled tomato consommรฉ amuse bouche with basil oil and a parmesan crisp which was designed to match the stunning table florals by @hallandcoeventdesign . To start, chefs created a bespoke starter plate of golden beetroot flavours with goats cheese mousse, walnuts and chicory as well as our popular roasted sea bass with handcrafted ravioli, carrot & pine nut pesto and the addition of a silky beurre blanc sauce. Main course showcased our quality sous vide beef sirloin which was served alongside fondant potatoes, wild mushrooms, seasonal vegetables and a deliciously intense mushroom purรฉe with a seasoning of cep powder. Finally dessert was a lemon and lime posset with elderflower gel and lemon thyme meringue which once again complimented the striking florals. We completed the dinner with tea, coffee and rustic boards beautifully stacked with local cheese, chutney and artisan crackers. Our team greeted the 200 brightly attired guests on arrival with fizz which they could pimp with berries and flavoured cordials from a floral styled bar. We served a selection of drinks and street food from rustic themed stations such as smoked BBQ beef ciabattas, pulled pork burgers and slow cooked lamb with flatbreads. The mains were closely followed by fruity Eaton mess pots and mini doughnuts. Through art, fashion, film, photography and more, Paris 1924: Sport, Art and the Body looks back on the pivotal moment when traditions and trailblazers collided, fusing the Olympicsโ classical legacy with the European avant-garde spirit. It was a breakthrough that forever changed attitudes towards sporting achievement and celebrity, as well as body image and identity, nationalism and class, race and gender. The exhibition also highlights the extraordinary achievements of the Cambridge University students who won no fewer than 11 Olympic medals for Great Britain that year, including the sprinter Harold Abrahams whose story inspired the award-winning film โChariots of Fireโ. Our concept, centred aptly around all things culinary captured specific worldly cuisine. A nod to the guests who had assembled from various corners of the globe! Kicking things off in the May sunshine at our partner venue @barringtonhallcambridge , our guests enjoyed sparkling drinks and lunch from our hugely popular workplace catering range. They then gathered into the venueโs traditional marquee space which had been transformed into their very own โBake offโ tent. As they donned custom aprons & chef hats they began their culinary journeyโฆ Our dedicated chef team guided guests through their dessert bake step by step. Working in several, intimate teams throughout the guests prepared, baked and decorated their dessert, made classic cocktails, built & presented canapรฉs, prepared salads from their custom pantry and cooked on their very own BBQs! The event concluded with the guests relaxing and enjoying their hard work in the spring sunshine!
