Freshers Finale | Yung Singh | Fri 10/10 | Cambridge Revs

Nobody does it like Yung Singh. He stands as one of the most exciting DJs on the world circuit, having spent the last few years levelling up from local phenomenon to shining global star. Refusing to be boxed in by just one sound, Singh’s sets span the full dance music spectrum — from hip-hop and rap to everything in between — all blended seamlessly with his Punjabi roots. If the last two years are anything to go by, expect the unexpected at a Yung Singh set. Awarded DJ Mag’s Breakthrough DJ of the Year in 2021 — buoyed by a string of viral moments, from an era-defining Boiler Room set to a spontaneous collaboration with singer Raf Saperra at Fabric that now sits in UK club folklore — Singh’s output has helped re-energise the British Punjabi and South Asian music scene.

With an unforgettable month-long Phonox residency under his belt — alongside ferociously energetic shows on his Global Gabru tours, including yet another viral Boiler Room — Singh is well placed to continue his relentless rise as one of dance music’s most exciting names. Now setting his sights on even more regions, curating his own events, and evolving his artistic practice, Yung Singh won’t be stopping anytime soon.

LB aka LABAT’s nights never end. This isn’t just because they’re filled with live shows and DJ sets in iconic venues and major festivals. It’s not only due to his regular appearances on platforms like Boiler Room or Mixmag. It’s more about his relentless dedication to refining his craft. He continually evolves in innovative ways: a standout, extravagant, and exacting performer who defies his industry’s norms. As a DJ, producer, and label owner, this French talent, close to the current British and Australian scenes, is breaking all barriers—whether of genre, format, or space. Insatiable, the artist has churned out releases for over a decade on foreign labels, since the inception of his Poumpet Records, wishes to champion new young talents. All driven by the singular goal: reinvention.

- A persistent rhythm underpins everything Ahadadream does. With unflagging energy and passion, the London-based artist juggles multiple creative identities: DJ, producer, A&R, label head, event director—and now, one of the UK club scene’s leading tastemakers.
His music is pure percussive energy—club belters with skittish drum rolls and menacing, coiled intensity. His unique, drum-focused productions draw from the UK underground, his Pakistani heritage, the African Diaspora, and beyond. It’s no wonder his tracks are go-to weapons for Peggy Gou, Fred Again, Four Tet, Skrillex, Dixon, Jamie xx, Bonobo, VTSS, Ben UFO, and more. Even Rosalía’s a fan.
Back in 2024, Pete Tong called him “a rhythm king and percussion specialist… talking about him is like talking about Bicep a few years ago.” Since then, Ahad’s been on a rocket ride: a viral Boiler Room (feat. Skrillex + ELIZA), BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix + Residency, RA + NTS podcasts, and bookings at Glastonbury, Sonar, Printworks, Circoloco @ DC10, Panorama Bar, Notting Hill Carnival, Lost Village, GALA + more. All while quietly championing the next wave of South Asian talent and pushing the scene forward behind the scenes.

— Leeds-based producer/DJ with a sound rooted in UK bass, garage, and low-end swagger. He turned heads with 2018’s Cookie (co-produced at just 17), and since then has released on Warehouse Project Records, Time Is Now, and Twenty Twenty London. Mixmag named his Bring It Back EP one of the best of 2021.
Equally electric behind the decks, Bakey’s rocked Boiler Room, BBC Radio 1, DJ Mag HQ, and festivals like Glasto, Boomtown, Outlook, Bass Coast, Love Saves the Day, Waterworks + more. The past year saw him tour Australia, NZ, and India (alongside his brother Breaka), and play at Europe’s buzziest new club, Openground.

Addison Groove & Lu.Re ➡️ Full line-up

Tickets are running dangerously low for M.O.T takeover tomorrow. If the sun wasn’t enough to get you excited our stacked support taking over the decks on Saturday night certainly will.

Kicking things off on Saturday, we have DJ Afroasis, taking us on a journey across African, Latin American, and Caribbean music, tracing their diasporas across the world with infused undertones of UK sounds. Prepare for Baile Funk, Gqom, percussive techno, and electronic edits of RnB, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall tunes that bring joyful energy to the dancefloor.

Next up, Helios Manoeuvres is rocking up with a USB of his latest unreleased tunes and sunshine filled grooves to get the dancefloor nice and toasty for the incoming headliner heavyweights. He’ll be going back to back with fellow Slipped Disc resident ALF, bring his own signature blend of chunky house and percussive gems. This will be a finely tuned set balancing explorations through syncopation with some unregrettable floorfillers. Those who bought the early entry ticket are in for a treat!

Taking over from Addison Groove at 3 and making their Slipped Disc debut, North West London Jay Ocean will be cooking up a mix of genres and vibes to the dance floor, drawing from Ghetto Tek, Quirktronic, Deep House, and ambient. Bringing in influences from the likes of Moodymann, Mochakk, Vegyn, DJ Rashad, Ghostwip and many more, Ocean lives up to his name, taking you on a rolling journey of high and lows as you loose yourself in his eclectic array of music. You wont want to miss this.

Finally, closing out the evening Helios Manoeuvres will be teaming back up with ALF for a debut collaboration exploring all things high energy and hot - expect techno, trance and euphoric crowdpleasers as we dance the night away.
