📢📢WE HAVE SOME NEWS!!📢📢 We quite often get asked where did it all start...and how we did it. Well, grab a drink, sit back and relax... After visiting the Birmingham Christmas markets in November 2015 to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Sasa was adament that having a 'Poffertje' stall would be an exciting and fantastic business opportunity. I didn't really pay too much attention to this and hoped that Sasa would get bored with the idea... Little did I know... In January 2017 I gave in and sourced our Poffertje Plaat from Europe. We registered the business and awaited our very first EHO inspection. We purchased a heavy duty gazebo, catering tables, portable handwash devices and more! Our friends were our guinea pigs with pop up tasting sessions at church and in our garden! Alarms were set for very early in the morning to ensure we can drop our kiddos at one of the 'Kerief Catering Support Group' member's houses (this was literally a group of our very dear friends who, without hesitation, gave up their free time so that we can build a dream!) We packed our Citroën Picasso and started out trading at Carboot sales, local markets and even tried a few food festivals. We got asked so many times why we aren't doing Jamaican or South-African flavours. Our answers always being that this was just a part-time, on the side kinda hustle. The seed was planted... In August 2017 we purchased our trailer. Sasa was working his 'real' job that day so I had to be responsible and take delivery. I was petrified! What on earth do I know about trailers, or mechanics etc. Luckily for us, we have some fantastic neighbours who came to my rescue. He inspected the trailer and gave it all the thumbs up! The wrapping was done and we were ready to dazzle everyone with our FLAVOUR FUSIONS! Now, packing a car with gazebos, tables and the entire kitchen sink takes some stamina, but trust me, packing and towing a 1 ton trailer is a complete different ball game! Especially in ex
