On the 20th of December, us and 8 friends had a wonderful meal and party evening at La Mimosa. This was unfortunately the last time we will enjoy their hospitality as La Mimosa closed its doors for the last time on December 21st!! We have enjoyed many many meals and special occasions in such a friendly and welcoming restaurant and will miss Don Cali and family dreadfully. To say goodbye, I created this white chocolate & raspberry cake featuring all 10 of us. We are waving them off into what we hope will be a very happy and peaceful retirement.

My grandson loves in the night garden, so here’s the cake I made for him. The bottom layer is a raspberry and white chocolate sponge filled with white chocolate buttercream and the top is strawberry and buttercream filled sponge

This little customer loved his cake, and the family tells me that it was delicious too!! (Chocolate sponge, layered with chocolate buttercream)
