On the 20th of December, us and 8 friends had a wonderful meal and party evening at La Mimosa. This was unfortunately the last time we will enjoy their hospitality as La Mimosa closed its doors for the last time on December 21st!! We have enjoyed many many meals and special occasions in such a friendly and welcoming restaurant and will miss Don Cali and family dreadfully. To say goodbye, I created this white chocolate & raspberry cake featuring all 10 of us. We are waving them off into what we hope will be a very happy and peaceful retirement.

I have once again been feeding my two huge rich fruit cakes with Brandy, in readiness for creating these mini Christmas cakes. Here are a few of last year’s designs. Each cake is approximately 4x4 inches, coated with marzipan and icing and costs £15. I am now taking orders!!!
