Just thought I would share a little of my journey..
I am an oncology sister in a hospital and have been a nurse for over 30 years.. my experience of dealing with the bereaved has led to me training to become a celebrant..
I honestly feel I have found my second life vocation. I absolutely love my work.
It’s all about making a difference and I am so lucky to have 2 “jobs “ that do just that..x

Yesterday I did the service for a former miner who was incredibly proud of his work down the pit in Cannock in his earlier years.
I sourced this beautiful miners lamp from a kind man on my Facebook and we lit this throughout the service..it was placed with him and his family were so pleased.

This week I have written and conducted a service for a young man who I have been privileged to know for many years..
I have been overwhelmed by the feedback I’ve received but this Facebook post by his Aunt bought me to even more tears. Xx

Over the last 30+ years I have been privileged as a nursing sister to look after patients on end of life care..
And now I am privileged in another way; by planning services as a celebrant both before and after people pass..
By visiting people before they die; end of life or otherwise gives the opportunity for the person to make their wishes clear and to set the tone for their celebration of life service..

What can we say, Claire was there throughout the journey from the beginning and we knew we had chosen well. The ceremony was just incredible, Claire was so professional but also delivered such a warmth and kindness to our vow renewal is will stay with us forever.
