Any sort of backdrop for your ceremony is a winner, in my eyes, and always one of the best investments you can make for those stunning “I do” & “first kiss” shots.

Georgie & Luke opted for a grounded arch for their May wedding at , full of an abundance of summer stems in the most gorgeous peach, champagne, ivory & blue tones 🫶

Over the almost two years since I met the lovely Georgie & her Mum (also the nicest human in the world!), it was the most inspiring process & I feel totally honoured to have been a part of their special day, even sneaking in to witness Georgie & Luke marry ✨ truly wishing you both the most magical marriage together.

The beautiful Sarah & Ed married at earlier this month, and boy was it a special one!

After forming a friendship with Sarah over 18 years ago, to see her marrying her best friend was a total honour, pair that with the utterly fabulous Amy and her team at Stockton House (honestly, without doubt the best hospitality you could receive at a venue!) and the extremely talented Jo , you know magic will be created! ✨

English country flowers were in abundance on this day, and so much more to share, but first… those stairs 🫶

The Winter Gardens at will always be one of my favourite space, actually anywhere at HH is pretty epic; one of my favourite venues to work at, full stop.

Amy & Matt married in the beautiful Spring sunshine yesterday and this stunning in venue, with a classic white & sage colour palette. I think that’s what I love most about HH, the rooms are so unique & decorative, you really don’t have to go OTT to create something impactful within the space (that being said, if you did want to go OTT, I am here for it 👀).

An absolute joy to get back into Wedding season this week, and the first of four took us to for Laura & Jack 🫶

They chose a timeless colour palette of white, champagne, nudes & blush tones with a hint of peach, paired perfectly with dried pampas, beached ruscus & “bunnies-tails” to add a touch of rustic; love, love, love!

Now for the next one, we are on a roll…!

We had the best time at Davenport House last weekend for their wedding showcase. Lizzie & the team were the perfect hosts and we met so many lovely couples (lots who have ready booked for their initial consultation!) who were all so complimentary of mine & Kirsty’s little collab - so thank you all!

With a quieter Winter season, it feels like forever since our studio has been filled with fresh flowers. So throwing it back to one of my fave weddings of 2023 at the incredible 🖤

Crisp white roses, blousey hydrangeas, black-centered anemones plus some stunning wild stems of orlaya & delphnium 🫶 ;the perfect combo for the perfect Bride.

Only another week until I’m surrounded by fresh stems again and I cannot wait 🙌🏻

About last night… 💕🏆

An incredible night at The Wedding Industry Awards National Finals with my partner in crime KM Stationery & Design & best hype girl .

It wasn’t meant to be, but to be placed in the Top 8 out of 134 UK Regional Finalists in the Newcomer category still feels pretty amazing, especially to think it is judged against all categories across the industry. Massive congratulations to Roxy Celebrates Love - Humanist Celebrant in Brighton & London who took the title 👏

I’ve just sat down and read through all of the amazing feedback and votes from all of our incredible couples, and it’s been a bit emosh 🥹 thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. You make this job the best in the business & I am so, so grateful for each and every couple who have placed their faith in me to create their wedding dreams.

Now for sleep. I am not built to stay up past 9pm… 🫶

Hi. I’m Lucy 🙋‍♀️

January is always an odd month; an overflowing inbox, meetings coming out of my ears, but hardly a flower in sight.

It’s been a busy month for new followers too, so thought I’d better pop back on to the grid (do we still call it that?!) and say “hello”!

So this is me. Owner, designer & general Jack of all trades in this little floral business. I’m very fortunate to have an amazing team of individuals that I call on during our peak season, but for the most part… it’s just me.

Between the endless hours of emails, meetings, menu creating, flower buying, conditioning, designing etc. my favourite things to do are being outdoors (grew up on a farm), eating copious amounts of chocolate, singing (it’s genetic) and looking after my number one girl, my daughter.

I’m very lucky to have an amazing husband at home who makes all of the above things a thousand times easier, because I am quickly learning that running your own business and having a toddler 24/7 is not easy.

My favourite flower (most asked question for a florist) is either a peony or a sweet pea. Both have a super short season, but that just makes me even more excited to use them.

January is looking to be another great month of new clients & a trip down to the big smoke for an awards evening 🤞🏻 so thank you again for all making this job the best in the business ✨

One piece of advice I always give our couples - make a statement in the areas where the photographs will become your most treasured 🙌🏻

Yes, we all love a striking guest table centrepiece, but it’s dressing those poignant areas such as ceremony, top table & backdrops that will make for some amazing shots that make it into that wedding album. 📷

Jess & Adam married last weekend in the most beautiful Autumn sunshine & boy, was it a good one. Their ceremony was held in the stunning on-site Chapel and their broken arch made such a statement during their vows (a personal fave of mine 🫶).

Well last night was a shocker… 🏆✨

The Wedding Industry Awards took place last night at , & after being selected as a Regional Finalist for Florist of the Year, and shortlisted in the Best Newcomer of the Year category, I am beyond thrilled to announce that I FLIPPIN’ WON 🏆🙌🏻

It’s official, my little business was voted as the West Mids best ‘new’ business across ALL 26 CATEGORIES and is now a NATIONAL FINALIST - cannot wait for the Finals in London!

It still hasn’t sunk in, but I honestly cannot thank my wonderful couples for being just the best in the business & supporting me through the last almost 2 years. I am so proud of the little mark we’ve made in the floristry world, and last night was just the cherry on top!

Huge thanks to the biggest cheerleaders last night (video incoming…👀) & to all those who’ve congratulated me since, and also massive congratulations to my business bestie , the wonderful & all the other suppliers who celebrated their wonderful businesses last night.

Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself 🫶

Our penultimate Wedding of the year was for the beautiful Gemma & now “hubby”, Dan at last week.

Gemma chose the most stunning combination of colour, texture & florals; the perfect style for an Autumn wedding in such a picturesque location.

When a floral arch isn’t your thing, or perhaps your prioritises are elsewhere, having a large urn or pedestal arrangement (or a pair!) styled on one of our timeless plinths with drapes & candles at the end of your aisle creates the perfect backdrop (they are so versatile for repurposing!).

This wedding was up there with one of my favourites from this year. So thank you Gemma & Dan for trusting us with your vision, top to tail ✨

Over 2 years since I met Natalie & Tony. One postponement, numerous meetings/calls & design planning, an elopement and one epic dress later and they finally did it 🖤

Moody, textured, grouped florals featured heavily throughout the whole day, with beautiful styling from , the overall looks was just 👌🏼

Until I can get my hands on the pro shots from the very talented , you’ll have to make do with a few photos we took throughout the set-up…

Huge thank you to my wonderful team for helping me pull this all off, it was a mammoth weekend of Weddings (non of them small!) and without the help it just wouldn’t have been done 🫶

If your venue has a beautiful staircase, show it some love!

The staircase at Swinfen Hall was lightly dressed with a tapering floral garland & candles to make it pop and to get some bridal stunning photos. And is there a better combo than dark wood stairs & autumnal flowers?! 🫶

Perhaps the last time we’ll have the chance to flower at Swinfen Hall as it closes its doors to Weddings in a few weeks, but we went out with a bang for Philippa & Tom’s big day yesterday! 🍂

Fireplaces are so often overlooked, but this one was a stunner and really caught the eye with a natural, autumnal arrangement.

Wow. 2022, you have been something special. After 14 years since I first started my journey in floristry, and 8 years as a full-time florist, taking the leap to go solo was always going to be a scary one. I set myself the challenge to try and build up the trust to book enough weddings to contemplate leaving my full time job within the year. It took just a couple of months for me to realise that there was no way I could possibly work a full time job AND fulfil all the wedding bookings I was getting. Fast forward 12 months and what a year it’s been. A busy year of wonderful weddings and 4 sold out workshops have been + gone, and an even busier (almost fully booked!) 2023 on its way! I am so grateful that this is my job. On top of all this, in January I welcomed my beautiful little girl into the world and became a Mummy. Watching her grow into the cheeky, intelligent, beautiful little monster that she is has been the greatest gift ✨ Thank you to everyone who has put their faith in me to provide florals for you and supported a business that I have poured my heart and soul into.
