Hednesford Hills Raceway has over 50 years of motorsport history and is the fastest quarter-mile oval in Europe, with the speeds many cars achieve around its fearsome steeply banked turns really having to be seen to be believed! Since the 1950's Hednesford has provided stunning racing and great entertainment from Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers in equal measure with a huge variety of other attrac

tions in between. Some of the biggest events in the sport of short oval racing take place at the venue, with the annual Bill Morris Veterans Day and Civil War seeing huge grids of cars raced to destruction, while the sky is lit up every Bonfire weekend with one of the Midlands’ biggest firework displays. One of the most spectacular events of the year is the annual National Championship Weekend at the beginning of August each year, whilst the annual Caravan Grand Prix on May Day Bank Holiday Monday always supplies the huge Bank Holiday crowd some incredible, not to be missed action. The circuit was built in 1952 utilising the site of a former reservoir. The track is a full quarter mile length oval, with two banked corners, and a tarmac track surface surrounded by an armco safety fence. With the track built at the base of the reservoir, it has the advantage of being at the bottom of a large "bowl" and means that viewing is superb all around the track from its grass banks and two covered grandstands, and there are excellent facilities to ensure a great day out for all the family. The track is situated high on Cannock Chase just one mile from the town of Hednesford in Staffordshire, and is easily accessible from the M6, M6 Toll and A5. National Championship Weekend is a month away and so we can begin to organise the event we are asking for any of the ‘Old Type’ Stock Rods planning on racing at the event and be part of the Gunner Testimonial to please call 01252 322920 to book-in now and let us know what car you will be bringing.

We will only be taking 5 Corsa-C 8-valve engine type cars of which Gunner himself is one of them.

Hines' Hednesford Hills!

What a day of Stock Car action we were treated to as the circus descended on the legendary Staffordshire oval for the 2025 BriSCA F1 British Championship - with fan-favourite #259 Paul Hines reigning supreme, 15 years after he previously took the title at Skegness.

Our thanks go to everyone, from drivers and their teams to you - the race fans - to the staff and officials who make it all happen.
It is always a treat to hear the ampitheatre come alive with the roar of engines, the cheering of fans and the clang of bumpers, we hope to see you again soon.

Can I pay on the day?
Yes, cash or card accepted.

Can I take my own chairs in?
Yes, the venue has plenty of grass banking to watch from - alternatively there are two large covered grandstands on the West Bend and East Bend.

Can I take my own food and drink in?
Yes. The venue also has it's own bar/catering outlets.

What time does it start and finish?
The advertised time is the first race. We can't give an exact finish time, but events last around 4 hours on average depending on track clearance.

Can I go in the pits?
Yes. The pits are open to all but children must be accompanied at all times.

EVENT PARKING
Please do not arrive at the venue before 9am!
Inside Parking can only be purchased on the day and is allocated on a first come, first served basis including disabled parking.
• Inside Parking is £10 per vehicle (cash or card accepted)
• Outside parking (on the Common) is FREE.

Please do NOT go to the raceway on Saturday at all - parking overnight outside the venue is not permitted. Access is only available from 9am on Sunday.

When using the local roads to reach the venue, please help us by not disturbing residents, we have worked to build a positive relationship with the local community and do not need this to be put into jeopardy by people not respecting the local area.
