I’ve been visiting my family in Jersey and my mum was lucky to come by these these branches of Mimosa. 😋
She rescued them from a mature tree that was just about to be chopped down.
We returned later and found that the whole tree (and the rest of its luscious branches) had been taken away and scrapped. 🙈
Such sacrilege! It’s such a shame that gorgeous flowing blooms were simply dumped, but hey ho, the landscape gardeners are on a mission to do their job within a tight time scale, and to be fair, they were doing a great job and cracking on.🚀
And this happens all the time. 🙈🙈🙈
Generally speaking, people don’t realise the value of their garden grown materials.
We florists constantly need foliage and we have to buy it in. Unfortunately, it usually costs as much as flowers!
So, anyway, my mum and I were very grateful that we were able to enjoy these gorgeous blooms. They certainly cheered us up enormously on a cold dull grey February day and it was lovely to use this antique Murano vase again to. 😁

Just a little #bts video of my last wreath making workshop in @BoConcept_Canterbury before the session started.
I installed a ‘foliage bar’, 🎄🌲🌳 which had a fabulous selection of textured winter foliages, for all the participants to choose from and then another area for all the ‘decorations’.🍊🍎🍏🌶
I showed participants how to make a Wreath from scratch, step by step, and was on hand to offer guidance and assistance throughout.
The session was fun and we all got into the Christmas partly vibe with Prosecco, nibbles and Christmas music.
@BoConcept are awesome hosts, so welcoming and helpful. It was a real pleasure and joy for me to spend time in the comfort and warmth of #BoConcept!🥰🥰🥰

New dates for CHRISTMAS WREATH WORKSHOPs
Saturday 3rd Dec 5 - 7pm.
The price per wreath is £55.
I’ve recently been inundated with enquires to host some more wreath workshops, in Canterbury, and I’m delighted to be able to offer a new session this weekend at St Peter's Anglican Church Hall, 15 St Peter's St, Canterbury CT1 2BQ.
I will show you step-by-step how to make a fabulous festive Wreath from scratch and will be on hand to offer guidance and assistance. All of the materials will be provided but if you have particular accessories or materials that you would like to add for interest then please do bring them!
My festive workshops are perfect for adults with children or 16+ on their own. You can book with friends or come on your own and make some new ones.
Sessions are very relaxed and friendly. A hot drink; tea / coffee / a glass of mulled wine or some Prosecco with nibbles will be included too 😋.
All my workshops are fun and are for complete beginners. Depending on what you might like to make, they usually take 1.30-2.30 hrs.
I favour smaller classes, 6 people at a time and it’s a great way for me to connect with those of you who've supported my business from afar.

Autumn Harvest Ethical Eco-friendly Sustainable Celestial Wedding.
I wanted to create an intimate LGBTQ/same-sex marriage that was deeply symbolic, spiritual, eco-friendly, ethical, and sustainable whilst creating a romantic, sophisticated, soft, feminine, and timelessly elegant look.
The theme for this Harvest Festival photoshoot evolved from tradition and folk law. On the day of the shoot, we had a full moon that was closest to the autumn equinox. This moon is called the ‘Harvest Moon’ because it’s around this time we celebrate the Harvest Festival after all the crops have been brought in.
Traditionally, we share our locally grown produce with those in need and celebrate our harvest with a big feast. Churches are often decorated with fruits and vegetables brought by parishioners, which is then donated to charity, so we felt that we should do the same!
As the ‘Harvest Moon’ has a rich orange hue, I used that as the main inspiration for our palette with the usual autumnal colour theme, and we used these colour elements in the ribbons and flowers.
I made sustainable choices when purchasing materials. The flower crowns and bouquets were made using locally grown and sourced materials such as British hydrangeas, ivy and berries with environmentally friendly grown scented garden roses for a touch of golden yellow.
The roses were grown by Wans Roses in modern greenhouses heated exclusively with sustainable waste heat and uses biological pest control for plant protection. All the other materials were seasonal and locally grown. The hydrangeas, in fact, came from my mother’s garden!
The bouquet was finished with natural materials that are all sustainable, reusable, and biodegradable, making them excellent environmentally friendly choices.

I’m so delighted that this awesome shoot has been featured on @GreenUnion.co.uk ✨ I’m particularly thrilled because it’s the first time that I’ve ever organised a photo shoot. I must admit that it wasn’t my intention to do so!
It was simply fate that an unexpected unpredicted situation turned quickly into a fabulous occasion!
I received a last-minute cancelation on a Sunday morning for a job that I had blocked the following Wednesday and Thursday for, and by happy coincidence, I had already been chatting to my friend Nat (of Buttercup Bus Vintage Campers) about meeting up and doing a little mini low-key photoshoot.
We had already been talking about possible dates but with businesses and children's school holidays it had been tricky!
As soon as I received the cancelation, I contacted her and agreed to meet on the following Thursday. Buoyed by Nat’s enthusiasm, and some serious hyper-focus, I created a LGBTQ+/eco theme/ mood board for the shoot and I went through my address book and contacted some of my friends: -

Tony asked, @heidichambs and @caralondonmodelling, @video_raul_studiol, @hair_by_tel, @makeupbylanamets to help. Esmee, our dear 6yr old bridesmaid, volunteered.
