Our orchestra has been working hard this afternoon in preparation for their performance in the Spring Concert. The workshop on Schubert’s Symphony no.8 involved sectional rehearsals with some of our instrumental staff then a full play through, conducted by Mr Bourdillon. It was sounding fantastic - do get your tickets for the concert on Saturday 26 April! Kent College Canterbury

Sedecim put on a fine concert at St Nicholas Church in Ash this weekend. As well as a wide selection of sacred and secular choral music, several members of the choir impressed with outstanding instrumental or vocal solos. A large audience turned out to support us on this beautiful Spring Saturday afternoon and we are hugely grateful to everyone at St Nicholas for their warm welcome and hospitality. As part of each house’s programme, leading musicians also treated us to some stunning solo and ensemble performances. We have just arrived back from a most memorable few days in Florence. The choir has given performances in some stunning buildings including Badia Fiorentina, Santa Croce Basilica, St James Episcopal Church and Santi Apostoli, where we were so well received by large audiences and congregations. The choir was on top form, and we have also visited galleries, taken part in workshops in art restoration and sculpting, as well as enjoying some lovely food and great company! Well done to everyone.
