Quality Childcare in Canterbury

Just like Snowflakes, we believe every child is unique....

Snowflakes Nursery & Pre School near Canterbury provides not only quality childcare for children aged 6 months to 5 years but also gives emphasis to each childs unique needs. Our nursery offers a secure, stimulating and welcoming base with rooms that are bright and spacious with well resourced, age appropriate equipment provided in a friendly accessible environment. Carefully planned activities take place often around a selected theme and this will link across a wide range of activities such as stories, singing and art and craft sessions. You can see the children’s brilliant work displayed throughout our setting. During term time, we use fantastic providers to run half hour sessions for the children in singing, signing and sensory activities. In partnership with parents we aim to to facilitate the development of confident and curious children to explore and discover all that the nursery has to offer to gain new experiences in play. We have excellent communication with parents to ensure they are fully involved in their child's nursery experience and we have an open door policy and welcome parent feedback and input. We have an inclusive philosophy and believe every child should feel valued and have a sense of belonging in the nursery. The genuine caring relationships between practitioners and child promotes children’s independence in our caring and safe environment

There is also a well equipped large, secure outdoor play area for both our Baby Room and Pre School Room with free flow access with a newly designed Mud Kitchen and a planting area for our 'green fingered' children! Children have private access to our fantastic play centre Big Fun House before it opens every morning where they can explore all that it has to offer from the play kitchen area to the train room, the workshop and the disco area.
