It’s been a while..

The last 5 months have been pretty manic in my day job in the NHS. Meaning flowers have taken a bit of a back seat!

A massive thank you to those who have reached out for bookings or orders and apologies for being unavailable!

A recent visit to has given me the high dose of flowers which was definitely needed! Whilst we were probably two weeks too late for the main tulip field, everything else was beautiful! There was so much there to see and I’ve come away with a very long shopping list!!

Now, let’s get peony season started!

Who says fresh flowers don’t last?! 💐

This week we had our very own wedding flowers back from .byemma They’re beautifully preserved in resin already displayed in our home!

Not only do I have the memories of how the flowers smelt on the day, how I felt holding them and how much they made our photos but now I can look at them pride of place in the living room!

One week since the best day ever!

We created our own table centre pieces and bud vases around the venue with home grown flowers and a delivery from

When I say we, I mean thankfully took charge and together with my bridesmaids created beautiful displays!

Meanwhile created mine and the bridesmaids bouquets (not forgetting little ones for the flower girls). She also created a beautiful arch for the front of the ceremony!!

Mothers Day last year I decided to start selling flowers!

Fast forward one year, flowers have taken a bit of a back seat due to work/uni commitments and our wedding!

Come summer time I’m hoping to be back doing what I love! The seedlings are in the greenhouse ready, dahlia tubers out of storage and scissors at the ready!

Cafe Au Lait

By far, my favourite dahlia! Love the colour, shape and size of it. I bought three extra tubers of these this year so hopefully will be making some nice bouquets with them soon!

Here we try and minimise the use of pesticides which can be toxic to wildlife.

This means sometimes your blooms from myself can be slightly nibbled and may include a hitchhiker 🐝

I’m learning more and more about sustainable flowers which is more important now than ever before!!

Tips to keep your flowers fresh and long lasting!

~ Refresh your water every few days
~ Add a splash of bleach to keep bacteria away
~ A sprinkle of sugar to help feed them
~ Cut any faded flowers
~ Recut stems so they can drink more water easily

Try your best to keep flowers out of direct sun light and somewhere cool (which is impossible in this heat!)

And lastly yes it took forever to get those clips in time to the music!!

Tulip season is coming to the end and my shopping list for bulbs just gets bigger and bigger!!

I’ve seen a massive difference in the quality to home grown and British grown tulips compared to the imported tulips. So next year I’m ordering more!!
