Happy New Year 2022 🥳 Despite numerous knockbacks from Kim Jong Drakeford, this year has been on point as our favourite at FLW 🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From the fat vibes at the first returning seated shows from & .cdf through to our outstanding recent collab events with & we want to take another opportunity to thank everyone who performed, partied and persevered throughout all 2021 had to throw at us 🙏 Big UP and Big LOVE to you all ❤️

2022 will bring no doubt bring it’s own challenges, and as we continue into January without sight of the horizon for events returning we look forward to the future as regular programming resumes…

The UK is currently experiencing a horrific spiking epidemic. We have always taken this topic extremely seriously, but we feel it’s important to outline some new procedures in place at FLW to ensure people are safe and aware of what will happen if they are either suspected of, or a victim of spiking going forward

- We have always trained all our staff (security, bar & production) about the Ask for Angela incentive, and whilst we can offer drinks with lids (although not our usual bio-cups) we don’t feel this is a viable long term solution to the problem. We will hold anyone suspected of spiking until the authorities arrive who will conduct a through investigation. Drink spiking is a premeditated act, punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Prosecuting will help prevent other potential atrocities in the future, and we will always support a prosecution under all circumstances (with warranted evidence).

- If you suspect you have been spiked, medical assistance will be arranged, your drink will be safely stored for testing, and the police will be called if required. We will ensure your safety and work together with the police to gather CCTV and evidence that can be used to prosecute.

- It’s important to know that a urine/ blood test must be conducted within 12 hours of a reported spiking incident, so whilst we hope that this never occurs to anyone, it’s important to spread awareness of the processes involved to prosecute, which involves keeping your drink if possible, and undergoing a test within 12 hours.

- Look out for everyone, not just your mates, everyone. There are many symptoms of spiking (confusion, nausea, disorientation, hallucinations, impaired speech or vision, poor co-ordination and even unconsciousness). Please, report any suspicious activity or suspected incidents to a member of staff and we will take it seriously always.

Stay safe, talk to us if you are ever concerned, and to anyone who is ever considering doing this to another human, we hope you never attend one of our events.
