Today, our staff prepared and served the final school Christmas dinners for 2024 and what a fantastic effort all our teams have put in to making this year’s feasts as festive and fun as possible. 🥳

This also meant our staff competition closed today and we couldn’t wait to share some of the entries received of our kitchen teams’ Christmas jumpers and jolly costumes. It was a tough decision, but we are thrilled to announce the winner… Dione Perez Martin from North Lakes School in Penrith, whose Christmas Tree outfit brought huge smiles to our faces. A festive hamper of goodies is winging its way to you ‘Skip,’ well done! 🧺

Thank you to all staff members who took part, you all look fabulous and have certainly earned a relaxing Christmas break! 🤩🎅🎄

In recent weeks, our area office teams in Cumbria have been donating to community food banks, providing much needed food and household supplies to be distributed locally to those in need this Christmas.

Our contributions were collected this week by North Lakes Foodbank and Carlisle Foodbank and we were really proud to offer our staff’s donations in support of such a vital cause. 🤝💪❤️

It's been a pleasure supporting North Lakes School with their World War II topic today, serving a wartime inspired menu and providing pupils with a placemat to take home, explaining rationing and the sacrifices civilians made to their diets at the time. We're sure this made them appreciate their delicious special lunch even more. 🙂

🐟🤔Finding Salmon Suspicious...to Delicious! 🐟😍

Our Area Manager Kerry had a brilliant day with pupils at Wiggonby Primary School yesterday, on a mission to deliver the super benefits of salmon, an ingredient that some felt unsure about giving a try at lunchtime.

Following a taster session and having learnt about the many ways that the fish is packed full of goodness, 87% of the pupils said they would order it above other choices on their menu.

We'd say that's mission accomplished! 👏👍

We joined in some very special celebrations at St George's C of E Primary School this week as they marked their 175th birthday! 🥳🎂🎓

As well as this magnificent cake, baked up by KTL Jo, the children were also treated to turns on our smoothie bike as well as activities and stalls showcasing some fascinating changes and innovations over the years since the School opened it's doors.

We love the school lunch themed stall and pupils enjoyed their special lunch, luckily SPAM was left off the menu! 😉
