💛 Claire Muir Photography is taking a break 💛

I have thought long and hard about what to write here, so here goes.

I have been photographing your weddings, families, newborns and special occasions for over 12 years. In that 12 years, I have met some amazing people, got to see pure love first hand and made friends for life.

As some of my recent brides will know, my health at the moment isn't great. I always give everything I can to every wedding, but at the moment, it's at the detriment of my life outside of weddings. Coming to the realisation that I can't keep doing this as a job I love has been heartbreaking.

Having said that, I am not planning on making this a permanent change/closure. My focus over the next weeks/months/years is to continue working with my doctors to find some way to improve the symptoms of the conditions I have. I'm so hopeful that I will get to the point that I will be able to get back to doing what I love.

So I want to reassure you that I'm still around, I'm not closing my page, not getting rid of any equipment, and will maybe post some other wedding related content in the meantime.

On Saturday 17th August, I went to meet Cara and Davie for their wedding. The day was honestly so relaxed and SO much fun! Their ceremony was conducted by Marvin Andrews, ex Rangers player, at Carluke Golf Club.

This was my last wedding of the year and I was promised fun and it's exactly what we got! Lots of love and lots of fun, exactly as they wanted.

Yesterday, 30th May, I went to meet Jess and Andy for their wedding. I worked with Mary Jane Photography page who took these wonderful photos of the couple, and their wonderful wedding party and families. The day was so chilled, relaxed, and honestly so much fun.

They got ready at Radstone Hotel and had their lovely ceremony at St Patrick's Church in Shotts, then back to The Radstone for group photos and their reception.

Thank you guys again for having us with you on your big day, it was an absolute pleasure.

A few weeks ago, on the 4th May, I had the absolute pleasure to capture the wedding day of Natalie and Ralph, the new Mr & Mrs Keith. The day was so chilled, full of love and laughter 💛

The day took place at Gleddoch House in Langbank, and I was joined by Mary at Mary Jane Photography page to help me out on the day.

Thanks again to Mr and Mrs Keith for having us, and making our job so easy 💛

On Wednesday, 2nd August, I went along to Lochside House in New Cumnock for the wedding of Cameron & Natasha. Oh my days, what a gorgeous setting for a gorgeous couple! Everything about the day was just beautiful and I felt so welcome and honestly felt like a guest.

Wow wow wow, what a day we had yesterday! I headed up to Linlithgow to meet with Scott & Helena who were getting married in the gorgeous Linlithgow Burgh Halls.

The morning was spent in The Court Resident hotel just across the road with all the ladies who were so chilled and relaxed, with a brief intermission to help the guys get their kilts on! The humanist ceremony was wonderful - personal, funny, and just perfect for this lovely couple.

The weather forecast didn't look great but apart from a few wee ninja showers, the weather was on our side.

The day whizzed by, I felt so comfortable and welcomed by everyone and had an absolute blast - it was like working with friends I'd known for years.

Thank you guys so much for trusting me to capture this special day, it was just perfect

I went to meet this lovely couple yesterday ahead of their wedding next month. A pre-wedding shoot is a great way to get to know each other and get comfortable in front of the camera, and I could have honestly stayed talking to these guys for hours! I cannot wait for their wedding :D

Yesterday, I went to see Sandra and Kennedy get married! Their wedding was full of love, happiness and dancing! Everyone looked incredible, and everyone was so lovely and kind, I felt so welcomed by everyone.

What a day! Yesterday, 3rd September, I went to see Paula and Danny get married at Kincaid House and it was just amazing. I arrived to take photos of them getting ready and felt like I was just part of the family, I was made to feel so welcome. The rain started just before the ceremony, but went off and stayed off until night time.

All in all, everyone looked fantastic, had a wonderful day and I think you'll agree that Mr and Mrs Cairns look just stunning.

Enjoy your honeymoon in Florida, guys. I am not jealous at all, nope! ###

Yesterday, I spent the most wonderful day with Jen and David as they said 'I Do' in front of their closest friends and family.

We had dry spells, sideways rain and a downpour during the ceremony, but as soon as the doors were opened afterwards, it just stopped and stayed off the rest of the day, amazing!

Their gorgeous pups, Dash and Percy, were the groomsmen which I think is just precious.

Adding into that, Jen took off her shoes and went running down the grass to see the cows!

Thank you guys for allowing me to be such a part of your day, it was amazing

I hired this most amazing woman for my daughters 21st and the photos I’ve received are out of this world she's Definitely one I’m keeping in my phone book that’s for sure very reasonable priced and she also caters for ur needs whatever u want she makes sure you have it to make ur photos very memorable (and I’m hard to please) so well done again honey ur one talented lady.

So while most of the UK was dealing with Storm Eunice, Louise and Andrew, along with their friends and family, were celebrating their wedding at Radstone Hotel. It was a gorgeous but cold day and that didn't stop up nipping outside for a few pictures. I had Mary from Mary Jane Photography page along with me as a second shooter.
